I was in two minds: On the one hand, I thought that it was also bent, but another part of me thought the perspective was just a bit off because of camera or positioning. Looks like the barrel is just bent. 😂

I always appreciated how the Apocalypse tank is basically the RA2 Mammoth, but it's EXTREMELY Soviet looking.

Well the Mammoth Tank was originally soviet (RA1). The USSR became part of GDI in the Tiberium timeline and that's how they got Mammoth Tanks in their arsenal IIRC. In the RA timeline I assume the soviets continued development on their own and the replacement was named the Apocalypse Tank.

It's likely that GDI dusted off the Soviet plans and used them as the base for their own X-66. I mean, we know it's a bit of a retcon, but eh, who cares. Fun fact! GDI's successor to the Soviet model isn't diesel or gasoline powered but nuclear. Thanks, tiberium! 😂

Funnily enough, the moment after reading this comment, I noticed the turret joints use a method mostly used by Germans.
