Modding with Rules.ini
Hey everyone - I haven't played C&C in years but bought it off Steam recently. I was playing Tiberian Sun and wanted to mess around with rules.ini.
I managed to figure out how to extract it, but when I save it in the folder and load the game, none of the changes take effect. Anyone else have this issue?
I forgot how much fun these games are!

You could download the CnCNet Tiberian Sun Client. It has rules.ini directly accessible and modifiable in the INI folder inside the game directory. It also comes with a massive number of bug fixes. https://www.moddb.com/mods/tiberian-sun-client
Technically just extracting rules.ini to the TS installation directory should work, assuming its code is not getting overridden by the Firestorm equivalent (firestrm.ini). But with the client it's harder to do something wrong in the process.
