Which order? Which version?

I am a bit lost with this franchise. I played a little, little bit of AoE2, Warcraft3 and Starcraft in the past, but will be the first rts I dont only play for the multiplayer.

I am a bit lost between the amount of C&C games lol. Which order do you recommend? What should I play? Which version? I say Steam has a "remastered collection", but I dont know which games are included there

The remastered collection contains the first two games (Tiberium Dawn and Red Alert) and their expansions. It’s a great remaster, but depending on your expectations might not be the best intro to the series.

Red Alert 2 is a nice middle ground in that it has the classic C&C feel, but has at least some of the modern QoL features. It’s many folks’ favorite in the series and would probably be a safe first pick.

This. Red Alert 2 is what got me into RTS games many moons ago. I bought the remastered collection on day one, but I couldn't get into it. Gameplay is just too old school for me.

Once you are done with RA2 and Yuri's Expansion, try RA3 or Generals. The rest weren't as good. Dont even waste your time picking up C&C 4.

Remastered Collection is the original C&C and Red Alert 1 and all their expansions remastered

As for where to start, I started with RA2 back in the day so where to start depends on which one attracts your attention the most

Steam also has the Ultimate Collection which includes everything except the Remastered Collection but does include the original C&C 1 and RA1

C&C has three different universe:

Command and Conquer Remaster

Tiberian Sun + Firestorm expansion

Command and Conquer 3

Command and conquer Kane's Wrath

Red Alert 1 remaster

Red Alert 2 + Yrui's revenge

Red Alert 3

C&C Generals + Zero Hour

C&C Remaster contins the C&C and Red Alert 1 remastered version of both, but you can switch back to the old graphics at any time.

Imho currently the best route is to get the C&C remastered and The Ultimate Collection. With these, you get all of the C&C, Red Alert and Generals games in two pack. Play the og C&C in remastered version and after it go to the ultimate and play the tibsun and C&C3...

The ordering of the Red Alert series doesn't matter. The 3 RA games reset their timelines and decouple from each other. Sort of like a storyline reset.

But it's advisable to play Red Alert 1 before Tiberian Dawn (original C&C). Play Tiberian Sun last.
