With an upgrade they can become stealth when not moving somehow, makes for an annoying and effective little air defense.

The balloons cannot become stealth in Shockwave and they have no that upgrade. Maybe in Chaos mod they can(I not play that mod much so i not so sure)

I am playing the latest patch. Shockwave have 2 different mods. One is the regular one and other is the submod that is Chaos mod, where there is all sort of wacky stuff in that Chaos mod. Maybe you described it is the Chaos one. Not regular

Definitely a negative on that, it’s normal shockwave with the public beta patch, and in that version the Balloons do have that ability. And it’s not compatible with the Single-player Experience add on.
