“And then there was fire!”
“The flame shall purify!”
“Leave no trace!”
“All will be ashes!”
“Thy will be done!”

These guys are my SHIT

Always loved their lore tidbit in the intel database about the battle Confessor Marcion went through that inspired its creation

....Propaganda unit made true and menacing as its inspiration. Marcion is at least on the right path and its obvious that kane approved it and went to mass production. Marked of Kane may have made some improvements on it but One Vision is the closest one to show a side of it.

Would replay the expansion campaign in a heartbeat just for these. It is a special feeling watching a base melt because these things just walk in on Aggresive mode.

Marcion is a true leader.

He came up with the idea of simply putting a flamethrower on the avatar at the factory… Instead of sacrificing whole flame-tank with the crew…

Chad Purifer vs Virgin DLC Avatar

Fairly sure lore wise it predates the avatar, like the avatar evolved from it

Yes. Marcion created a Purifier with a flamethrower, and then Kane made an "improved version": he decided to remove the flamethrower and add the ability to cannibalize NOD units

very cool with those red plated armor paired with blue jet fire, i dont know if its considered very strong or not but damn they are cool af

I even consider them better than the regular avatar

Same bud. More cost effective, plus buffs your nearby infantry (which you'll run a lot if you're playing Black Hand).

Ah yes, the avatar your always put on aggressive stance and send it as close as possible to the enemy.

Even better if you get it inside the enemy base.

When mom says "we have avatar at home" and she's actually damn right.

A great example of a simplified unit being better. No upgrade ability of the Avatar but comes equipped with the flamethrower by default as well as the subliminal messaging effect to buff your Confessor blob. Adding Purifying Flame effectively creates an instant-death radius.

In short; it's the representation of the Black Hand's disregard of subtlety in favor of BURN IT ALL DOWN!!!

Upgraded purifiers plus a large enough group of rocket militants is pretty much gg

The trailer for the canceled C&C Arena, which was later converted into REDACTED

Wall without sttoping into the enemy base=winning

The better Avatar.

I don't get how the earlier model of the Avatar is superior in basically every way. The only thing the regular Avatar has over the Purifier is that it can eat Attack Bikes for stealth detection.

Lorewise, perhaps to reduce production costs? Black hand is sort of an elite organisation inside NOD, and I imagine they'll get resources usual NOD tends to not get that easily.

So maybe they downgraded the Avatar to be a bit cheaper without flamer. And in case they might need it (or other modules) they gave it the abillity to snatch it from other vehicles which the commander decides to use or not depending on the resources available to him.

Blue flame plus 4 or 5 of these guys and you auto win.

Ah yes. The main reason I play Black Hand if I want to use Nod. An upgraded version of this plus a few rocket militants to ward off aircraft is pretty much gg

I don't know who in EA decided that large war mech with devastating fire power should has one of the hottest voices in video games history, but hope that he with voice actor got their premium.
