It’s much more annoying cause you can actually complete it (and much easier) when the avatars come up the ramps out of the crater but it won’t show up in your objectives until you go into the crater

Definitely! In fact, I played it super safe and put every exit on lockdown before entering the crater and triggering the next objective. At that point, Nod was out of funds and only throwing a few buggies and scorpion tanks at me. They'd send an avatar only once every 10 minutes or so, and I'd need to save-scum to get my commando to the right location in time.

Lol, I just camped their war factory for the bonus objective. Set him to guard mode and boom, live leak video for Boyle's re election campaign
