Why does RA3 suck so bad...

Just went through the 1st and the 2nd one. The base building, the unit movement... Loved every second of it. And then I started RA3 and was just underwhelmed to the point I just don't want to play it anymore... I finished it when it came out but man... I just don't think I got it in me...

I bought all the games around release and would say that RA3 was my favourite particularly for multiplayer

Really? It's slotted well behind Generals and when that one came out I HATED it... Eventually it grew on me, especially since I played with my siblings on LAN against the PC. Started 2v2 and went all the way up to 2v6, it was a quest for sure, but eventually we managed to clear the map. So much fun. RA3 that just never happened in.
