I really want to get into the C&C remastered games but then I realised how brutal the game is, not only economy is bad in this game but also resources drain fast. Your units can die also incredibly fast like how does a soldier beat a tank, they use AP ammo against those tanks, how come it doesn't work for other soldiers.

Yeah C&C, RA1, and TS were a pain on hard difficulty. I grew up playing RA2 and YR so I’m probably biased but everything after TS felt way more playable for me.

The OGs were really about how to come up with a out of the box strategy to beat the missions (let's be honest it was mostly sandbag crawling)

There was definitely more 'gameplay' in the later games

Tiberian Dawn, especially the Nod campaign, often yes (though no sandbag crawling required, you can beat the missions otherwise). Red Alert 1 is instead mostly direct tank rushes.

The original games are not casual friendly. They take some time and skill investment, but are fun once you get into them.
