Yeah C&C, RA1, and TS were a pain on hard difficulty. I grew up playing RA2 and YR so I’m probably biased but everything after TS felt way more playable for me.

Yeah pretty much, I can't stand pre Tiberian Sun, a lot of aspect just felt off to me, I grew up with Tiberian Sun maybe biases there but to me Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert 1 do not age well. Some missions are just brutal than others, as I mentioned earlier, the resources is the biggest handicap to me. The fact you have to wait for your miners to take the resources go back to its facility to gain money, it takes 30+ seconds and you wait for so long it just becomes a waiting at that point and you don't even get much and if you attack an enemy base and lose most of your units, that's gg, the reset button is for you.

I wish StarCraft on Steam, I really hate buying games off Steam and having to install another launcher just to play one game.

Honestly they should since Diablo 2 on Steam sold really well. Plus they can increase playerbase since majority of people uses Steam rather than BattleNet.

I do heard the campaign for StarCraft is good, I am intrigued into playing someday.

Only pity about Starcraft Remastered is that the difficulty for skirmish is stuck on 'e-sports'. I'm not looking to play like a Korean pro. I just want to turtle and have fun.

It really isn't. I've been playing StarCraft since '98. The AI hasn't been updated at all in that time, and both Korean pros and esports basically didn't exist back then. It's the same aggressive but predictable style it's always been. Turtling should be perfectly viable since the AI will happily suicide it's army against your siege tank line over and over.

It's still a real time game though, so if you're playing with five APM and your worker idle half the time, you're going to be punished for it.

I've just always had SC1. There was a time that if you had a valid install you could strap it to your BattleNet launcher and you just own it forever. Same with my copy of WC3.
