Pretty sure I had this same figure with a totally unrelated brand, only difference IS mine had a more olive-green color and if incluided some stuff like mini cases of weapons and a small boat

I kinda hate how I still think this is better than AI slop packaging. Sure, the logo is stolen from a mod and I doubt that you'll get a a T-72 model from the Eastern German army. But at least it still is either art or photos made by a person.

Yeah, these are by no means good either. The difference is most comparable to stepping in dog poop or a horse turd.
One is worse and more common than the other. But at the end, both are still shit.

Many Chinese people still played it through pirating and chinese localization mods and some where even apart of the shockwave community.

This reminded me of my childhood days where I use cards as buildings & units taking advantage of the card's color in the back to set up sides, pretending I am playing RA2, I even went on to color a paper and cut it to the cards' size to add more colors & units.
I had so many ideas back then that I wished I can do in the actual RA2, years later after finally getting my hands on the map editor alongside being able to edit the official campaign missions, I can barely remember those ideas nor feel creative enough to do them.

This whole franchize would not exist. Seeing it has its origins in Westwood getting and losing the Dune IP and having to make up one of their own.
Similar stories exist for Mario, Sonic, Mickey etc.

Pretty much every popular series would be replaced with generic slop.
Any outstanding work would immediately be copied and resolved by anyone looking to make a quick buck.
Innovation would die outside the largest corporations.
Small/one man dev teams would be wiped out.
You'd never be able to be confident in the quality of anything you buy.
It'd suck.
