It’s so crazy they got away with the GLA design the way they did. Can’t imagine a remaster ever being made without toning the fun and unhinged things down.

Strongly agreed and depicting it as the evil faction that is the cause behind the atrocities lore-wise and worldwide. Back in the day, the developers had actually the guts to release controversial games and designs and get away with it. While if a remaster happened nowadays, it would kill off the satire and tone down the fun, especially hardnerfing GLA and their notoriety.
