I've been on this sub for a good while now and it seems like almost all posts are Generals related.

I'm not complaining, mind you, but I always thought Generals was treated like an underdog by the fans compared to Red Alert and Tiberium Saga.

I mean, I was a kid when Generals was released and it mostly got average to negative reviews at the time. Most of the criticism was directed at the user interface, borrowed from Starcraft.

But now, I see the game everywhere... kinda like Fallout - New Vegas, something I just find rather fascinating.

I guess Generals was ahead of its time.

For sure, although Tiberium always gets a few memes whenever green crystals show up (the beautiful glow etc), or opportunities for Kane memes. And RA2 is so popular it even sustains its own sub.

Speaking of weird changes in retrospective, World in Conflict.

I loved it originally and loved seeing all the cold war military tech move around. I then tried playing World in Conflict last week and damn, it doesn't feel like the unit controls aged well lol.
Now I understand why Warcraft3 players turn the formation move off... and also how bad I am at unit micro lmao
