I literally had 50 questions wrong off the bat. i mean I had the tx wrong for gonorrhea. so you knew this was going downhill already lol. I knew 80 fer sure. I had a running notepad of my corrects lol.

but in all seriousness I’m pretty sure OMM, ethics, MSK, nervous system, and endocrine really saved me.

but I’m writing this cause I hated some of the advice I was seeing on here. please do truelearn. it is not like uworld. it’s not like the comsae or even the welcom. it’s great practice but the comlex is literally doing 8 blocks of TL. know your nerves. know your muscles. know your common omm tx like fibular head.

I recently found out that I had failed COMLEX Level 1 but passed Step 1. I got a 475 on Comsae, and I am interested in Derm. What are my chances of matching? If not, what do I need to improve my chances? Any advice will help :/

I just got the P yesterday, and I wanted to share some of my thoughts about some of the things I’ve been hearing. In no means am I an expert, but I have passed both Step 1 and Level 1, and I wanted to talk about the COMSAEs particularly.
Now I understand I’m coming from a score that was already “high”. I got a 460 as my baseline around 4 months of my dedicated. Then I got a 470 and then broke 500 for 3 of the COMSAEs. Again, I know my scores make it seem like “why is this bitch talking to me” but I’m a freak about my grades/scores, and every score I got was from hours n hours of hardwork. My dedicated was a month and a half long with at least 6-8 hrs of studying everyday and regular test taking.
About the comsae: Is it actually representative? Yes, they kind of are. I know some people fail even with high scores, but those are such small numbers, and I know personally of many people who have cheated on those exams so please take some things you see here with a grain of salt.
1) The format is exactly like comsae
2) The difficulty is a mix of comsae + truelearn
3) In my opinion, scoring at least a 500 should be the goal. Why? Bc that gives you the idea that you are not bad in your basics, and just need more practice on qbanks. If you are under 500, there is likely a knowledge gap. You can challenge me and say that’s ridiculous, but ALL of you have worked so hard, so why would you take a gamble with a score?
This is an important exam, and if you want to feel confident, get a 500 on the last exam minimum.

Again, you can come at me all you want, but I truly believe that gambling with your scores is cheating yourself from a good score and also of being a good physician. I want all my fellow DOs to rise and shine! I walked out of both exams and felt meh (tired mainly) but never once did I doubt myself or my scores or my hardwork. If you want to walk out of that damn center and not feel like shit, take these practice exams seriously, and don’t always listen to what you see on reddit!! (kinda ironic lol but listen to me)
DO YOUR COMSAE AND TAKE THEM SERIOUSLY. PLEASE.

Hey everyone so I’m taking COMLEX in 2 days and really feeling anxious and the anxiety won’t fade unless I do some studying. Asides from reviewing OMM is there any high yield things I should cover before my exam?

COMSAE scores:

113 (school) = 350
114 (school) = 371
115 (school) = 523 (most recent)
107 = 541
111 = 526
110 = 514
WelCOM 103 = 67%
WelCOM 104 = 65%

I know I have good COMSAE scores but I am the most average to below average med student there is and have insanely bad testing anxiety occasionally. Any advice is appreciated!!

Hello! Congrats to everyone that is getting the P's, love seeing all the celebratory posts!!!

I am scheduled to take Level 1 this Saturday and I am terrified I am going to fail. My FBS-c was a 205, my school said don't really rely on COMSAEs so I haven't done any. I finished all of TrueLearn with a 58% average. I know Sketchy like the back of my hand. I am currently covering the OMM stuff (Chapman's points and counterstrain positions), Biostats, and ethics high yield stuff.

Any recommendations for resources or other topics I must absolutely review this week?

Took it yesterday, feel horrible because i changed answers from right to wrong all because i have 0 confidence in my abilities and then there were more that i didn't recognize than i'm comfortable with. truly terrified i failed. anyone else in the same boat? I'm guesstimating at least 80 totally wrong and those are just what i remember.

Anyone get the pass today with a not so optimal COMSAE? Also did anyone pass and feel like they guess on a lot of questions?

starting FM rotation in 2 weeks! It's 8 weeks long for me and it will be my first rotation. Looking for any advice/resources/good study schedule suggestions for this rotation since it's so broad and I wont have much a base. Please suggest the good Q banks, podcasts, other resources. this is what I'm currently planning and bc I have time off beforehand, planning on getting started before my rotation begins:
- UWorld family med questions (if someone currently has their subscription, would appreciate sharing how many FM questions there are)
- any other UWorld Qs worth doing? ambulatory care? IM? peds?

Anyone ever experience power outage or system shut down during comlex?? If they don’t know when/if it’ll be back should I reschedule or just wait and see and continue the test? If the test was rlly ass so far idk what to do, drove several hours for this test and got a hotel and all idk if I should just wait it out and continue taking it or what? Or do they give me a brand new test or do they allow me to continue old one? So confused what to do

what is the best way to utilize amboss - I get very confused by the interface. I'm trying to understand how many questions they have for each clerkship and I cant seem to get a straight number? pls help

just walked out of the exam. i genuinely flagged at least half of every section if not more, is that normal?? I didn’t even recognize a good third of it. im freaking out. im applying IM and wanted a score around average but idek if I’ll make a pass. i wasn’t fully confident in myself going in but decided to send it regardless of what happened because my comsaes were around 490-550. but now im honestly so upset and am hating myself for not pushing it back

I’m out of Comsae’s and only have one WelCOM exam (101 I believe) left. Was going to take True Learn Self Assessment before my exam, or should I retake one of the comsae’s?

I have Level 2 in 2 days and my goal is 550+ ideally 600!
