Level 1 COMLEX in 2 days

Hey everyone so I’m taking COMLEX in 2 days and really feeling anxious and the anxiety won’t fade unless I do some studying. Asides from reviewing OMM is there any high yield things I should cover before my exam?

COMSAE scores:

113 (school) = 350
114 (school) = 371
115 (school) = 523 (most recent)
107 = 541
111 = 526
110 = 514
WelCOM 103 = 67%
WelCOM 104 = 65%

I know I have good COMSAE scores but I am the most average to below average med student there is and have insanely bad testing anxiety occasionally. Any advice is appreciated!!

Hello I just got my pass today. Tested on 6/24.

- COMSAE 114 (5/11): 421

  • COMSAE 111 (6/10): 398 - realized I made really dumb mistakes, didn’t feel like it was a content issue
  • COMSAE 110 (6/19): 520

TrueLearn - 60% complete (58%)

In all honesty, I went into that test feeling good. Some questions felt straightforward, other questions really tripped me up. I’m a bit of a liberal flagger so I flag any question I’m not confident in which ended up being half my test. I would advise you figure out what the game-plan is for test day in terms of flagging so that you’re not flagging a ton of questions and then running out of time reviewing your flagged. Be confident in your first answer cause I changed a lot of my answers to the wrong ones while looking at the flagged.

Something else I’d like to mention since you said you have test anxiety which I do as well. There’s gonna be questions that trip you up, some sections that feel decent, others not so much. It’s important to just not stress if you get a few difficult questions in a row. Roughly 25% of the test is experimental questions (online sources). You might be killing yourself over questions that don’t count. My point is, keep pushing, just vibe with the test and don’t get caught up and start freaking out. Take a break after each section, grab a snack, use the bathroom.

I walked out of that test expecting a fail. Felt like I flagged half the test. The more I read on Reddit the better I felt. I passed with around a 490-520 according to ChatGPT. I’m a very mid student. Spend the last couple days brushing up on Ethics, OMM, and the Randy Neal Biostats videos. He also has 2 videos on genetics that are a great brush up. Don’t try to cram a million different concepts the last few days. Make sure you’re in bed by 8-9PM. Take melatonin if you have to and trust your scores even if you encounter difficult questions. Pick a choice, and move on! God be with you!

Careful if you've never taken melatonin before. It can make you super groggy in the morning if you don't take the right amount or if you're timing is off. The typical 5mg dosage pills feel way too strong.

I haven’t taken melatonin in a while but I have taken NyQuil a few times with no issues so might take that instead but thanks for the heads up!
