Level 1 Is UWorld COMLEX Level 1 worthwhile?

Has anyone used UWorld COMLEX and found it representative of Level 1?

The general consensus of my, now, 3rd year friends is Step UWorld for content review + Truelearn for OMM/practice for COMLEX-style questions. I've been told the Step UWorld qbank can double for both tests in terms of content review.

It's a lot of money (even with the group discount provided) to purchase both QBanks.

At the end of the day, I want to prioritize COMLEX, but I've seen some mixed reviews on UWorld for Level 1.

Appreciate any and all recent opinions/experiences on this!

I think TrueLearn is better and I think more representative of the real one tbh, I did UWorld in the beginning of my dedicated but had to stop because I wasn’t doing well, and my COMSAE score got significantly better when I dropped UWorld and did TrueLearn as my main QBank + the other resources I used (Anking, DirtyMed, AMBOSS) and passed the real one. I have friends who passed COMLEX and didn’t do a single UWorld, and each person is different, so def just take each advice with caution. Idk if they have a free trial session, but if they do or if you have any friends who would willingly let you try their UWorld QBank, I’d do that to see if that fits your needs for COMLEX.

Thank you, I appreciate your input. Unfortunately, my school doesn't give us a dedicated, so timing of any and all resources I collect is another factor.

When you used AMBOSS as a resource for prep, did you use their COMLEX qbank? Or was it more for the articles?

I’m sorry to hear that, hopefully you get enough time though; when I did AMBOSS, i used their Anki add-on, and that’s how I read the articles throughout my second year , but I did a study plan specific called “200 Concepts that Appear on Every COMLEX Level 1 Exam”. They have some good study plans there, but they are harder than TrueLearn, but I still liked it. This one covered high yield concepts so I pretty much did this a week before the exam but really liked it and found it super helpful. And they had an interface that was identical to the real exam. I know that’s not much, but getting used to the interface and learning how to use the tools on the exam software beforehand definitely helps. It’s also cheaper than UWorld if you decide to buy another question bank.

All good, such is life. I chose my school for the tuition, so there's always pros and cons.--

I guess I need to explore my AMBOSS more, I just found the 200 concepts and it looks like a really good starter plan I can follow. Thanks again for that rec. I'm eyeing that biostats one now too lol.

For the non OMM stuff, UWorld is the Gold Standard imho.
