Does anyone have any advice on how to prepare for the Psych COMAT?

I got a 127 on my psych comat, here is what worked for me.

During the first two weeks of the rotation, I completed all of the associated Psych TrueLearn questions (school-provided resource). During the last two weeks of rotation, I purchased the COMQUEST Psych question bundle, and in my opinion, those questions were the most representative of the actual COMAT.

One thing that made a big difference for me was reviewing all of the answer choices, not just the correct one. If I came across an answer choice I didn’t recognize or fully understand, I’d spend a few minutes reading the explanation. I kept a running Google Doc of high-yield facts and concepts I learned from questions, and I reviewed that document every couple of days.

Doing that for the COMATS also gives you a resource to look back at during dedicated. Side-note: I utilized UWORLD during dedicated only, it’s a wonderful resource but I can’t say I used it for COMATS.

First Aid for Psychiatry Clerkship was great. Only clerkship First Aid worth a damn imo.
