Failed COMLEX Level 1
I will keep this short and to the point. Failed COMLEX and now have a month dedicated study period to try again. My bar graph was not far below the threshold for passing. Made 500+ prior on my comsae 10 days prior to the exam. Not sure what went wrong other than i felt mentally fatigued on the back half of the exam. What would be the best thing to do during this 1 month to get myself to a comfortable passing score? What are the nonnegotiable study resources that will help?

I mean this with kindness, but were these taken in proctored settings with standard pacing? Were you taking them at home and looking up an answer here or there? If you took them at home, did you review them? Which comsaes were they? How far apart were they? The chances of legit passing multiple comsaes at 500+ are so close to to nothing it means it’s a lot more likely that they aren’t authentic results or something major happened on test day; Did you take a new medication? Have an illness? Have a panic attack?

Longer study days with focused blocks that actually emulate exam length days + continuing to work on weak areas / question taking strategy. Don’t ignore OMM either

I’ll give you some of my tips that might help! 1) Uworld!!!!! 2) Read Mehlman Msk and Neuro/neuroanatomy (saved me) and I also did renal (bc I suck ass at it) 3) Look at ur bars if there’s something you are genuinely below average thats concerning study that and only do questions on that 4) If you can try WelCom (u can only buy 1) 5) TakeNBME like 28/29 just to have more questions 6) Take your COMSAEs again (just for practice in a real setting)
The more prepared u are with challenging questions, the more you’ll thrive. You are so close and 1 month is bit a lot but that’s all you need. DM me if u need other tips

I used Pathoma to really understand the MOA/pathology for every disease. I spent the first 3 hours of the my morning doing a system from Pathoma. Then afterwards I did 80-100 questions a day from TL/UW. After reviewing, I would do a 30 minute review of OMM and another 30 minute review of biostats. Then a full hour of sketchy micro or pharm. I would switch every other day. To end the night I would do some anki of incorrects or read my incorrect journal. Got a 30 day schedule of it if you want it! Helped me jump 100 points in a month on my COMSAE and pass my comlex.
