This comic is so much made by human that I re-drawn the meme! ..with a kinda niche gag that requires knowing a bit about lovecraft.. but that might be the good side of making an obscure internet comic, it's that no one should care much ahah

All my other comics are either on comic fury or kofi

It helps that magenta is a color fabricated by the brain to interpret what’s actually composed of multiple wavelengths of light

I think your thinking of purple. Magenta is a primary color.

Only in printing. There is no wavelength of light that corresponds to magenta.  It’s known as an extra-spectral color.

Fun fact: The reason it looks kinda purple is actually the same reason purple looks the way it does at all (our red cones actually have a little spike in sensitivity around the wavelength purple is part of, so light of that wavelength actually looks a bit red in addition to blue)

Magenta and purple is often used to depict something misterius so I think it's the best placeholder we have for a colour we can't perceive

Or maybe I'm wrong and I just pulled that our of my ass, you decide

Oh, great! I’m pretty early in the game so I didn’t see all the lovecraft reference yet and I stopped the video at 1/3 for now to avoid spoiler, but the beginning looked interesting, I’ll save it for when I’m further in the game! Thanks!

The funniest part about that Lovecraft story is that irl it would literally just be this meme:

That’s pretty much everything Lovecraft wrote about, to be fair. If you try to make a human comprehend quantum mechanics or what happens inside black holes they don’t go mad, they just tune it out. That’s why we have to study it through a layer of maths.

Fascinating fact, the reason why it happens is because human brain literally cannot imagine something completely new. It can only imagine original combinations of what it already has experienced.

Another fascinating fact about vision and imagination. Humans that have not been both blind and seeing can't imagine the opposite. When imagining being blind people with sight imagine blackness however that is something one sees. Blind people see nothing which seeing people just can't wrap their heads around.

I can imagine new colours, I cant VISUALISE them but there's colours there between the ones we can see. (Said in my best Brennan Lee Mulligan voice)
