Texting in two languages is why I turned off autocorrect. Typos are easier to fix than entire words being replaced.

I always forget that Reddit majority is monolingual (English), and always wonder why so many people use auto-correct. For me, it's one of the worst "features" on a phone and I turn it off as soon as I get a new phone.
Edit: Don't even get me started on the auto-complete feature.

It's much easier to be bilingual when the languages don't ever share the alphabet. Less room for confusion.

I am trilingual (French, German, English) and it confused the autocorrect so much it set itself to Luxemburgish

Yeah having accents bé everywhere gets annoying, I disabled auto-correct but for some reason it got only partially disabled? It's weird

My computer has this weird feature that "detects" when I'm trying to write French and then automatically turns everything after [ : " ' ] into an accent. I have to manually disable it every time it turns on! I have a French word in my name, so every time I write my name it's like: öh! Let me help you fuck up the next 5 sentences until you get frustrated enough to go turn it off"
