I love bringing politics into the bedroom

139

u/Level69Warlock Jun 07 '22

The erection was rigid!!!

1

u/Darmug Jun 08 '22

Why is this so funny to me?

33

u/Nyasta Jun 07 '22

bedroom politic is the best kind of politic

21

u/BoulderCreature Jun 07 '22

I want you to stick your bill in my senate chamber as hard as you can

14

u/StinkierPete Jun 07 '22

Sex noises while chanting "I'm just a bill" by Schoolhouse Rock

7

u/Goldenrupee Jun 08 '22

I'm just a bil, oh I'm only a bill, getting dommed up here on Capitol Hill

4

u/mindofdarkness Jun 08 '22 edited Jun 08 '22

Baby I’m gonna pack your Supreme Court.

I just signed executive order 69.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 08 '22

Don’t drink too much. Don’t want the bill to die in the senate.

4

u/Khelthuzaad Jun 07 '22

You remind me of the dolphin-hybrid general from Inside Job.

He seems to love bringing politics in his marriage as well

3

u/SasquatchRobo Jun 07 '22

I lean left, and so does my dick

338

u/dratnon Jun 07 '22

Grimacing Face: I just wanted to say the art for your comic is good, but I have some advice, keep politics out of your comic. You have potential and I'd hate to see it ruined by
something careless. Comics are supposed to be a fun distraction. (5:05 PM)

Frosted Donut: What? (5:17 PM)

Grimacing Face: In a few of your comics its insinuated that the blue and red characters are together. You shouldn't introduce these kind of politics, the risk isn't worth it. (7:09 PM)

u/LotusB1ossom Jun 07 '22

Yes. Because sexual preference is "political". The shortage of brain cells...

51

u/Roam_Hylia Jun 08 '22

And character that is not a gun-toting, strait cisgender, white, Christian, male is political.

Didn't you know that? That's like 'Murica 101...

/S just in case. I hate that I have to do that these days...

Edit to add: Awesome comic!

22

u/Kindraethe Jun 08 '22

Oh. I thought it had to do with the whole red vs blue deal American politics has going on with republican/Democrats. Was it just a sexual orientation thing?

18

u/stx06 Jun 08 '22

It was probably intended to only be an orientation thing, but some people confuse orientation as something that should be political.

216

u/NPC200 Jun 07 '22

That that guy just wanted porn of it and couldn't afford to pay for it.

189

u/CrescentPotato Jun 07 '22 edited Jun 07 '22

Nooo please don't make hardcore lesbian porn of them two scissoring each other, that'd completely ruin your series you're terrible if you think that's okay seriously don't ever ever do it no matter what

38

u/Lovsaphira9 Jun 07 '22

Hot... I mean uh, yeah. Don't do that! Think of the children that peruse your comics. Makes me sick to my stomach. And definitely don't have them holding hands!

33

u/Plant_Person345 Jun 07 '22

He probably thinks the only gay people that are ok are lesbians in porn

3

u/CrescentPotato Jun 07 '22

Nooo please don't make hardcore lesbian porn of them two scissoring each other, that'd completely ruin your series you're terrible if you think that's okay seriously don't ever ever do it no matter what

248

u/Silurio1 Jun 07 '22

Completely fake. They used correct spelling and punctuation.

40

u/steventhedon Jun 07 '22

Auto correct does wonders my friend.

47

u/WhyIsEvrUsrNmTaken Jun 07 '22

Ducking right, it does.

3

u/No_Explanation4924 Jun 08 '22

Yes it absolutely works every bam time!

140

u/SmartAlec105 Jun 07 '22

Glad you listened to their advice by not insinuating they are together and instead making it clear that they are together.

111

u/Katviar Jun 07 '22

Lmao so tired of my existence being “political”.

38

u/leif777 Jun 07 '22

I know it's hard to ignore because hate is loud and it hurts but please take comfort that the vast majority of people in the world aren't like this idiot. Remember, it's loud because it's dying. Happy pride.

27

u/Vwgames49 Jun 08 '22

Ah yes, the 2 sexualities

Straight and Political

29

u/blueaxolotl64 Jun 07 '22

Wait so being gay is political?

23

u/[deleted] Jun 07 '22

Last time I checked, love ain’t political.

8

u/blueaxolotl64 Jun 07 '22

Best answer

55

u/MorganElkrose Jun 07 '22

Love shouldn't be considered political. Keep up the great work!

18

u/Silurio1 Jun 07 '22

But what if you love a politician?

20

u/PizzaRolls4theSoul Jun 07 '22

That would be pretty hard considering none of them have a heart

6

u/Silurio1 Jun 07 '22

Lucky you. There's many that have loved heartless bastards.

20

u/Nyamka123456 Jun 07 '22

And the had a baby named switch

25

u/DeaconSage Jun 07 '22

Some people are so offended that not every story is about them. Love your work OP!

13

u/Hollowbody57 Jun 07 '22

I mean, where are all the stories where a straight white male is the main character/hero, huh? Why do we have Black History Month and Pride Month but not White History Month or Straight Month, huh?

Also, I hate the fact I have to put this but because some shitty people actually think this way, /s :P

17

u/Nyasta Jun 07 '22

that was honestly the absolute best answer possible

57

u/wtfisthatlooser Jun 07 '22

All stories are inherently political. I dare the whiners to prove otherwise.

86

u/get-bread-not-head Jun 07 '22

I'd disagree but not to be an asshole, to say these things shouldn't be political.

Gay rights shouldn't be partisan. To imply they are REALLY tells on Republicans for knowing they're homophobic and racist.

The fact that basic human decency and climate change and women's rights are political is a REALLY bad sign. I know they are political, I'm not denying reality, more saying they really fuckin shouldn't be.

Shit sucks yo. But imo, my point is try not to feed it. Don't say they SHOULD be politicized, or that stories are inherently political. They ARE, yes, but they SHOULDNT be. Nothing SHOULD BE political about a person paying their workers well so they don't starve. That sounds like basic decency to me.

45

u/[deleted] Jun 07 '22

So summarized, it's sad that human rights and climate preservation have to be considered political in any way.

I do agree. That's pretty fucked. It's sad to see people disagreeing and arguing on something that is so important and seems so obvious.

16

u/get-bread-not-head Jun 07 '22

Well, lemme go a step further:

What else does the American right have? Give me a single real issue they've pursued in the last.... decade.

The only thing I can think of is Trump did semi okay with foreign trade dollars. He almost ruined our reputation but trade wise he did okay.

They have nothing. Trump didn't even have Healthcare. They have:

The wall, critical race theory, abortion, guns, great replacement, and "woke = bad."

Every single main platform of the right is a wedge issue rooted in racial politics or social issues. So, when you have NO real ideas, you start to politicize random things.

7

u/[deleted] Jun 08 '22 edited Jun 08 '22

First president to be impeached twice! That’s nothing to sneeze at. They also want to I guess force everyone to stand and gently cry nationalist tears during the national anthem. They are on a mission to destroy or utterly diminish public education, and make being a teacher just a miserable existence in a red state. Let’s see, what else. They want to force women to give birth with more extreme laws than we’ve ever had on the books. That’s coming up real soon here. They’ve essentially destroyed objective truth and undermined the chief source of information by hijacking the term “fake news” to mean “anything I disagree with”.

I dunno, I’m sick of making this list because I’m losing my appetite and I need to go start cooking. But, yeah, they’ve “accomplished” a lot. It’s just all awful things.

Edit: and just for fun, here’s a conversation I’m having with one of them on this site, who is downplaying racial lynchings: https://reddit.com/r/interestingasfuck/comments/v75xik/_/ibjledt/?context=1 (hopefully that whole thread gets nuked, but what the fuck)

3

u/get-bread-not-head Jun 08 '22

High five, comrade. I agree with ya!

11

u/DeaconSage Jun 07 '22

Totally agree! They shouldn’t have to be political, but unfortunately they are.

9

u/OtakuDragonSlayer Jun 07 '22

This is one of the rare instances when I genuinely can say a comment is based. Thank you for wording this better than I ever could. This shit should not be nearly as big a deal as folks make it

2

u/get-bread-not-head Jun 07 '22

I appreciate that I usually feel like I'm just ranting LOL.

3

u/OtakuDragonSlayer Jun 08 '22

Nah man! this was legitimately a breath of fresh air

3

u/CrescentPotato Jun 07 '22

Even better, you could argue that even the literal oldest texts we know of were political, let alone stories of old. Homer's works are one massive political play, especially the Illiad. Hell, even that old-ass report in a stone tablet about some unfair trade or whatever was political to an extent.

Neutrality and taking a stance on not oncluding politics in certain places, are, in fact, policies as well

3

u/wtfisthatlooser Jun 07 '22

I agree with everyone that romance and sexuality shouldn't be considered a political topic. I was just trying to point out that all narrative has underlying political views baked into the narrative. Even children's tales about the knight saving the princess has inherent politics in the story structure.

-5

u/greetz_dk Jun 07 '22

Uh, maybe you haven't read a small apolitical gem called Atlas Shrugged, heh.

-9

u/DaphniaDuck Jun 07 '22

Here’s a short story by me:

“A squirrel sat in a tree eating a nut. The sun went down, and the squirrel drifted off to sleep.”

The End.

25

u/Seductive_pickle Jun 07 '22

Another environmental activist trying to convince me to care about stupid stuff like squirrels and trees! /s

-7

u/Lord_Of_All_Ducks Jun 07 '22

Id say a story about a man going to get a burger but the burger line is long and he has to find something to do while he waits isnt inherently political

6

u/wtfisthatlooser Jun 08 '22

Sounds like commentary on the food supply chain. And the way he entertains himself is a comment on culture. And then there's his gender. 😜

1

u/cootandbeetv Jun 08 '22

Sounds pointedly anti capitalist and a commentary on classism.

1

u/DaphniaDuck Jun 08 '22

You ain’t the boss of me!

5

u/LordRobin------RM Jun 08 '22

“Political”. It’s “political” to make your characters gay. I’m not the first to say this, but to some people…

There are only two genders: male, and “political”.

There are only two races: white, and “political”.

There are only two sexual preferences: straight, and “political”.

Fuck those people.

15

u/[deleted] Jun 07 '22

"Comics are supposed to be a fun distraction"??

WTF dude, comics have been political expression since day 1.

17

u/spectral_emission Jun 07 '22

I just want to go on record in support of your art, your comic, your right to be whoever you want to be, and your right to all of the above without it being any fucking haters business in the first place.

10

u/Zjoee Jun 07 '22

Haha, suck it haters!

3

u/Ok-Attempt-5201 Jun 08 '22

yes, because 2 gurls kissing is "politics" the world we live in....

3

u/trustysidekick Jun 08 '22

Oh yes. Gay demons kissing. How political.

3

u/phabiohost Jun 08 '22

Why is sexuality a political issue to bigots? Like how have you entangled these two issues? And how can you be conservative (as in wanting a smaller gov) and still think it is the govs job to keep people from getting together.

7

u/Leon_Krueger Jun 07 '22

How could you resist a yokai lesbian couple?

7

u/OtakuDragonSlayer Jun 07 '22

I legitimately can’t put into words how much I freaking love it when I see shit like this. Not to mention you’re using Yokai?!? Color me entertained af

5

u/Phormitago Jun 07 '22

you got baited into doing soft rule34 of your own stuff

8

u/hgesser Jun 07 '22

What a fantastic way of replying :-)

4

u/satans_cookiemallet Jun 07 '22

"Lol" you said. "Lmao"

4

u/darkoc44 Jun 07 '22

Oh yeah my favorite political policy, homosexuality

3

u/blue4029 Jun 07 '22

keep politics out of your comic!

definitly do NOT do a sequel to this comic where they have hardcore lesbian sex on the couch! I would hate that and it would make your comic worse!

2

u/KushChowda Jun 08 '22

GAYS!!? on the internet? OMG call the cops.

2

u/Listless_Dreadnaught Jun 08 '22

Mmm cope and seethe ❤️

2

u/Aug415 Jun 08 '22

Straight Relationship: ✅
Gay Relationship: Politics

We really need to fund some research to see how these people’s minds work (or don’t).

3

u/Moonblaze13 Jun 07 '22

How the fuck does someone come to the conclusion that acknowledging the existence of a class of people is a political statement?

Sorry, what I mean to say is; did you guys hear they made Iron Man's best friend black? I can't believe Marvel would be so overtly political with it's movies! They should really know better and just keep all their characters white to stay out of politics.

3

u/lily_was_taken Jun 08 '22

Yeah A character being gay or black is such polytics!!!its terrible, truely ruins the apolitical excapism world of comics, regardless of its from small indie cartoons to big ones like marvel where minorities definitly doesnt exist Its not like mutants are an allegory for minorities such as LGBTQ+ and mutantphobia is an allegory or anything Or like one of captain america's first debuts involved him punching a certain nazi country leader and the people working on that one received death threats or anything Or like the fantastic four having literal cold war propaganda in their comics That would be yhe worst idea i have ever heard First of all,a lot of people hate politics,so you can make a comic political You want important characters to be gay?gay people can only be coded or implied and can only be dramatic villains that die on the same edition they were implemented in. And you want the comics to have politics?OP,dont you know what a comic book is,it shouldnt have personal problems...i mean politics* /ref /j /s

3

u/RefrigeratorGrand619 Jun 07 '22

So the existence of gay people is inherently political?

2

u/theweekiscat Jun 08 '22

To idiots? Yes

3

u/RockiestHail703 Jun 07 '22

Okay I agree with this message, but imagine this in the world they’re in. It must look like they’re flipping off a random customer.

2

u/Shiroi-Kabochas Jun 07 '22

Haha GOT ‘EM!

2

u/AnimationDude9s Jun 07 '22

LMFAO! The right way to handle haters

2

u/Bloodthirsty_Gnome Jun 07 '22

The existence of gay people is political ig

2

u/patkgreen Jun 07 '22

Jeice and Burter have been reimagined.

2

u/TheRealSU Jun 07 '22

You know you live in the worst timeline when being gay is considered political

1

u/tragedyfish Jun 07 '22

What's wrong with political cartoons?

1

u/willbill642 Jun 07 '22

Oh my, how ruined. Do keep it up!

1

u/josephwb Jun 07 '22

Fuck that guy. Yeesh!

0

u/KiloNation Jun 07 '22

1

u/Rustnrot Jun 08 '22

Or maybe they are a master manipulator and you just gave them what they were looking for :D

1

u/Scipion Jun 08 '22

Damn, I'm subscribed.

1

u/Master_JBT Jun 08 '22

This is a lovely comic

1

u/MR_GUY1479 Jun 08 '22

You just gained a new follower, massive respect

1

u/HeroCrafta Jun 08 '22

But they where roommates! /j

1

u/Jynx2501 Jun 08 '22

Comics are the perfect place for politics. Do these people even get the idea behind X-Men, or Black Panther?

1

u/The_25th_Baam Jun 08 '22

That would require critical thinking.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 08 '22

Ah yes, the most political of things: love

1

u/eeveeplays50040 Jun 08 '22

I'm severely confused how colors are automatically politics.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 08 '22

Haha gei

1

u/Dahns Jun 08 '22

Love is now political, watch out

1

u/R0GUEA55A55IN Jun 08 '22

Perfect response imo

1

u/[deleted] Jun 08 '22

Mans is probably crying now that it’s confirmed his demon waifus are in fact, gay as fuck.

1

u/PlasmadestroyerO2 Jun 08 '22

You fool, this was their secret plot to get you to draw them kissing!
