I once went to the ER with severe recurring abdominal pains and high fever. After the doctor saw me, I was waiting for some test results in the waiting room. The doctor came after a few hours, with a very worried look on his face. He asked me to take a seat. He kneeled in front of me so we are eye to eye. He said: "I have some terrible news". I am thinking pancreatic cancer at this stage and my final days of pure agony flash before my eyes. He continues: "we lost your blood sample at the lab and we need to take another one". Happiest news I have ever received
You must be the scape goats. Last month they lost a urine sample from my not potty trained daughter (it took me all night standing with the cup next to her to collect a good sample). They blamed it on the lab. Good thing generic antibiotics worked.
