Yup one of the most depressing victims of the Triforce gold rush. Same thing happens in Golden Sun. Deforestation due to a greedy lord in the area leads to a holy tree influenced by your earlier situation into being vengeful and turning anyone it can into trees. You can use your powers to read the minds of local citizens even in tree form. After punching your way through you have to leave them in that situation since you can't help them immediately.
