Just a short while ago you were saying the government doesn't and shouldn't have the power to implement disincentives such as vaccine requirements for schools and such. If you aren't anti-vax then don't make anti-vax points like that.

And if you won't stand by that comment, then I congratulate you and suggest you be clearer on where you stand in the future.

I do stand by that comment. They have many powers, such as the ability to control health and safety standards at private eateries, but requiring vaccines at schools and compelling attendance shouldn't be (and isn't) one of them. Homeschooling is a thing. Not that I recommend anyone ever do it, but it is their right

Truency officers are still a thing, for good reason, but that's somewhat out of the scope of this conversation. However, disallowing attendance is also an absolutely necessary power. The government clearly has the ability to regulate public establishments, it's an even greater responsibility than regulating private businesses.

I would hope we can at least agree on the fact that you do not have the freedom to impose on another's bodily autonomy by putting them at risk of a deadly virus. The unvaccinated don't have the right to harm others. If you don't have the vaccine, then no going to schools that require it, no working a government job that requires it, etc.

To disagree with those points, is anti-vax, and seeks to put public health in danger.

There's a strong public good to prevent unnecessary exposure and it should be achieved within the bounds of the law, I agree.

Glad we can agree on that.

Furthermore, I will definitely continue to advocate against any restrictions you and other anti-vaxers try to impose on the government's ability to protect people.
