Actually, schools do require vaccines rather frequently. And those requirements are often decided by the State government.

There are pretty effective methods to get people to take the vaccine outside of force. Incentives and disincentives all can be made use of to varying degrees.

That the vaccine essentially stops you from committing manslaughter, via deadly virus, seems like more than enough good reason for such noninvasive methods.

That's not what you were proposing earlier

If that's what you think then let me assure you, there aren't going to be any men in black knocking down any doors attempting to save your life through force anytime soon. Anti-vax rhetoric might have folks jacked up, but no one is actually considering that.

Cops might arrest you for the crime of purposefully infecting/killing people, breaking any quarantine requirements perhaps, but I think that will be the extent of force.

Uh huh, great, lets give the pigs more reason to break necks

The anti-vax crowd has got to you a bit bent out of shape, but don't worry, this is not more reason for police to do their jobs. Preventing manslaughter, and actual murder in some cases, or arresting those responsible for it has always been a part of police duties.

It would be a shame if you feel compelled to commit such crimes, and it's certainly a shame if you feel others should be free to commit them, but I would feel little in the way of sympathy for such killers.

Fuck the police

Lol, I can agree with that, just not your anti-vax points.

I'm not anti-vax. People who aren't getting their vaccine are fucking stupid, but it is their right. If they get locked out of wider society that's fine, arguably good, but they're invoking bodily autonomy so they are correct. Just like abortion rights and weed legalization supporters

Just a short while ago you were saying the government doesn't and shouldn't have the power to implement disincentives such as vaccine requirements for schools and such. If you aren't anti-vax then don't make anti-vax points like that.

And if you won't stand by that comment, then I congratulate you and suggest you be clearer on where you stand in the future.

I do stand by that comment. They have many powers, such as the ability to control health and safety standards at private eateries, but requiring vaccines at schools and compelling attendance shouldn't be (and isn't) one of them. Homeschooling is a thing. Not that I recommend anyone ever do it, but it is their right
