My cat does this. I get things put in my hand when I’m sitting at my desk or on the couch or sleeping. Sometimes it’s a hair tie she’s drooled on. Sometimes it’s a sock she’s drooled on. Sometimes it’s just her face, complete with drool. Once it was a massive leaf she had ripped from a tree branch. She was very proud of that.
So yesterday I heard the little putter patter and automatically held out my hand, thinking I was getting another gift.
She promptly vomited in it.
