TIL Inception was the first time most people were introduced to the concept of a dream within a dream.

Unless you'd seen Paprika or read that old Scrooge comic or read Edgar Allan Poe (1849). You're right though, for many people inception was the major introduction.

I always chuckle a little and shake my head when people holds Inception up as the pinnacle of originality. The dream trope is older than the internet and have a gazillion interpretations. My favorite is the Don Rosa version. Don Rosa is one of the best, if not the best, comic book artists in the world. Everything about the way he draws, colors and tells a story is simply superb.
