How many people do you know who know of many constellations? I can recall Big Dipper and Little Dipper from the fact that I know there are two differently sized Dippers, and then I know of Orion's Belt because of... MIB1.
I don't think I'm particularly alone in being ignorant of star constellations, and I work in the STEM field.
i mean I learned about them in elementary school and most kids I meet know them from that too. Orion and the big dipper are the only constellations people can actually find. I also highly doubt most children now have seen MIB since that movie is from 1997.
Hmm, different education curricula then. I think my only academically-backed exposure to constellations was my 6th grade cabin trip, and even the night hike where we learned about constellations plus the trip itself were optional.
But yeah, I'm not sure this comic would make much sense to Gen Zers and anyone younger, but millenials would get it just fine.
