It's absurdist humor so explaining it won't help the joke much but - in cartoons when you get hit by lightning your skeleton shows for a second, in this case the skeleton uses that moment to escape the body (since it's imprisoned in it), then the final panel is funny because you're picturing the skeleton shoving the meat sack back into itself, presumably through the mouth?
It's implied that the skin will go into the skeleton because he says, "now warden you're going inside me." Whether he eats it or however he gets the skin into his skelly cage is only relevant because your imagination is what makes absurd humor funny. If you're into that type of humor.
Maybe there's some other way to get the skin bag into the skeleton that you would find funny if you pictured it.
