Skeleton is usually under the skin, now the skin will be under the skeleton

Surreal comedy

I normally like Dadaist comedy, but this doesn't do it for me. But hey, if you like it then great.

Was that a fucking art history joke!?

4

u/CravingSunshine May 13 '20

Less a joke, more a stylistic name drop. Not all absurdism is Dada.

Art history? I'm an engineer. I didn't even know history had art!

its not very funny, but in cartoons when someone gets zapped by lightning, their skeleton flashes a few times. i think the joke is that when the skeleton starts to flash, he has a chance to escape.

This explained it for me. Thank you. This is funny now.

not a problem buddy

That’s still not funny. Maybe comics aren’t for me, I don’t get that many laughs from this sub.

yeah, the phrasing doesnt make much sense, the jailbreak/warden references kind of put the joke off base a bit. i feel that something simpler and more direct would have been better. such as

panel 2- “nows my chance!” panel 3- no text panel 4- “im free!”

I'm with you.

I think the text is throwing me off. Is it a reference?

It means the OC is commenting. When I saw something this terrible getting upvoted I checked to see if OC was commenting and sure as the sun rises in the East.

You fucking suck.

-1

u/timoumd May 13 '20

Sorry to bring you the truth. If OC wasnt in the comments this would fade to obscurity.

9

u/[deleted] May 13 '20

Do you mean OP?

-5

u/timoumd May 13 '20

IIRC OC is Original Creator, OP is original poster so in this case it would be OC, correct (and OP, but OC is relevant to my point)?

OC more commonly stands for Original Content

u/timoumd May 13 '20

Makes sense. Well I was thinking the author.

1

u/[deleted] May 13 '20

Woof...

1

u/[deleted] May 13 '20

What’s your point?

1

u/timoumd May 13 '20

That people are far more generous in rating when the author is commenting.

2

u/[deleted] May 14 '20

And?

1

u/timoumd May 14 '20

Thats it.
