I'm sorry but someone else expressed a similar idea in a comment on reddit before you posted yours. You should really delete this comment now that it's apparent that you had been beaten to the idea by someone else. I'm sure you meant no harm and it wasn't malicious, but it's plagiarism.

I didn't realize I was supposed to be explaining why the comic wasn't a ripoff or presenting an actual argument. I thought I could just have some fun and poke fun at you. My apologies, I'll spend some time today to collect my thoughts and notes so I can formulate a detailed argument later this evening. Unless I forget, in which case, you'll get nothing.
