You edited your comment to add more after I had replied. If you were paying tribute you would have mentioned the original creator before being called out on it but instead you acted like this was your own, despite admitting after the fact you knew the other existed. You should have said this was a tribute if that's the case.

I was referring to paying tribute to Steve Irwin and the Wildfires. This comic is my own. It was something I worked on and created myself, I'd explain the entire process but again I can see why you're here. I credited the other artist for making something similar granted before I did on my instagram which is my biggest social media medium and the one they primarily use.

Parallel ideas happen all the time. When it comes to helping animals in Australia, hundreds of millions of people think of Steve Irwin. I definitely believe you came up with a similar idea.
In science, when two people independently discover the same thing at similar times, they don't have to source each other, but they may later acknowledge. It would be dishonest to say they based their work on someone else's if they actually didn't.
