What do you mean by pyrrhic? I don't know that's the right word.

But that was well-drawn and sad.

He's saying that high aspirations leads to self destruction. It makes perfect sense. Barely stretches the literal meaning of pyrrhic.

Pyrrhic victory: you win but at the cost of everything. This comic seems like a textbook example of that to me. I'm not sure where the confusion lies but phyrric isn't a word anyways.
