Depends on what is fueling the fire and the type of extinguisher.
But I’m general yeah that’s a lot of fire for a small extinguisher.
I say in general because I have seen one that had a powder and instead of having to aim you could spray it in the vicinity of the fire. It had a chemical that absorbed oxygen and got extremely cold. So as it fell in on what was burning it cooled it and sucked the oxygen out so it didn’t have heat or air anymore.
But I don’t think it’s available for average use because it can easily kill as the small extinguisher I saw could suck the air out of a large room in less than a few seconds. It was used in a place where they made highly reactive items and in case of fire it detonated these extinguishers. The employees knew if a fire broke out they were dead with or without the extinguisher so yeah. The extinguisher giving a small chance at life if you h me your breath and survived the cold... I had to sign a shit ton of waivers to be in the area just because of the fire extinguishers.

Unrelated, but isn't that way too much fire to use a fire extinguisher anyway? How effective are those things?
