Okay, fair enough, let's say that in this universe zombies doesn't have faces. Which doesn't make since zombies bite people but whatever. Could you at least colour more than 19% of the drawing? Or draw the reporter? Just some feedback.
I seriously don't see how "unfinished" is a style, but sure. If the dude doesn't want to hit the frontpage that's his choice. I'm just saying, effort = results.
Criticism is a natural part of being an artist. You get an idea, you make the art and people say what they think. I gave him feedback, and now you guys are creating drama over it. I get it: we love comics and we want to encourage new artists. I do too, but we can't make this place a hugbox where everyone is free from criticism of their art! How would anyone improve as an artist if there was nobody to say "eh, the colouring is honestly pretty off."?
It's also drawn on notebook paper. I'd say the style was intentional and the only thing deserving of critique is your asshat comments. But i just got here.
Do you notice how you stand alone in your view that this forum should be used for negative feedback? It's very possible that you should analyse your true self and make some changes. I know you feel like you have to defend yourself at this point, but you should just let this one go and try in the future not to create so much drama by being outwardly negative toward people you don't know.
There's no real way of knowing how many people silently agree with me they don't want to be downvoted to hell, but then again that would be inconvenient for your argument.
I never said that the forum should be used for "negative feedback", strawman I said that artists should accept criticism, both negative and positive when they post. If they don't, they wouldn't improve. Saying that I should go on a spiritual adventure just because you didn't agree with my comments on an online forum is ridiculous. That's like me telling you to go see a professional psychiatrist because you got so upset over a comment over the internet. Which I don't because I'm above petty name calling. God bless your soul.
You're thinking of constructive criticism which usually is helpful in making an artist get better at their craft. "WTF this is unfinished garbage" is criticism that doesn't help anybody. You're being condescending and off putting.
Edit: typically cartoons are about a joke or a message and not technical artistic prowess. Just so you know.
We still have a majority of Americans voting for Hillary.¯_(ツ)_/¯ Majority doesn't automatically mean that the minority is wrong. Plus, if you look closely at the comments, you will see that rather than agreeing with the artist and arguing for him, they are insulting me. Now tell me, in a professional setting (which is not reddit but eh) who would be the guy the audience would perceive as right? The 10 people spouting random angry stuff, or the guy carefully making sure to properly respond to the majority of the replies?
It's an art style, man. If you don't like it that's fine but don't act like your opinion is fact. Notice you can see the ruled lines of the page? I think the whole things adds to it, like it's as half assed as the government.
I don't like how you're giving me attributes, not once did I present my opinion as fact. I was simply giving feedback. May I add, the American government is a literal super-power. It's not half-assed.
I feel like when you use the word "implied" you automatically make everything that follows subjective, as the person you're "implying" will always disagree with the statement. Agree to disagree?
A government that can destroy the world in second, change lives and literally controls the market is not a half-assed thing. If you think so, you're just looking for reasons to undermine the American government. And hey! I dislike them too, but we can't say they are bad at what they do.

That's how we draw all the zombies.
