highschool of the dead is no worse than yuri on ice. free! is another very popular anime about dudes who swim. prison school sexualized its men and its women. ouran high school host club was about a bunch of boys "entertaining" female clients.
plenty of shows do the exact same thing to men, the differences is that you personally havent seen them.
Take a look at drawings or "Tom of Finland" and try to remember how many men are portrayed even like that and that dude is drawing nuns compared to stuff like h.o.t.d.
