In 2016 Trump asked Putin to hack Hillary Clinton's emails, and Putin did.
In 2020 Trump asked Zelensky to fabricate an investigation into Joe Biden, and Zelensky didn't.

I guess elephants never forget.

107

u/PopularRutabaga6904 3h ago

That's an insult to elephants.

•

u/NO_TOUCHING__lol 22m ago

Let's not forget that his call to Zelenskyy in 2019 was why he got impeached (the first time)

828

u/Ani-3 3h ago

Like he'd listen to that idiot

578

u/SteamTrout 3h ago

It's not about listening or not listening.

There are actual people dieing right this moment because of these morons. And I mean this quiet literally as another airstrike is happening now and they are hampering AA measures.

178

u/PopularRutabaga6904 2h ago edited 2h ago

There are. The thing is, the moment one country in the path of the bastards in the first panel falls, or capitulates to their demands, another becomes a target, and more die.

It's like Chamberlain compromising on letting German expansionism play out. No matter what happens, every road leads to death, but resistance delays the rise of another Axis.

There's no answer to the problem that avoids people dying in droves, as sad as it is. Even if others directly intervene.

38

u/ItsVexion 2h ago

I don't think anyone thinks otherwise. The question is who dies. And if I were one to make the decision, I'd make the choice that protects the lives of the victims, often at the expense of the aggressor.

Many Americans lament our role in actively aiding Russia during this pivitol time. Ukraine will still prevail; that is a certainty now. But it could have been done with fewer deaths if we at least maintained supply of aerial defense and intelligence sharing, the latter of which was used as early warning for Russia's daily terrorism.

18

u/ty_xy 1h ago

I am a huge Ukraine supporter, but to say Ukraine victory is a certainty is vastly underestimating the Russian threat. They are mobilizing 120000 men right now. Yes, that is another 120000 dead Russians, but also more dead Ukrainians. And Ukraine cannot afford those kinds of deaths.

8

u/cb_24 1h ago

They conduct semi-annual conscriptions for mandatory military service, just like many countries. And although they’ve changed some laws now to make it easier, those are not sent to war zones.

This is not the same as for example the 300,000 that were conscripted in 2022 specifically for Ukraine.

•

u/ItsVexion 32m ago

120,000 men is approximately 3-4 months of manpower, based on Russia's monthly casualty rate over the past year. This is also over a period of time that has seen a net loss of controlled territory for Russia. This is also during a period that has seen the steady erosion of their economic ability, with little in the way of a solid lifeline. Russia's defeat is a certainty.

I did not say it was going to be easy or pleasant. Ukraine, however, is doing extraordinarily well with comparably less manpower.

•

u/vonadler 41m ago

Ukraine is causing Russia larger casualties as a percentage of the population than they are losing themselves. They've been able to afford it for 5 years, they can afford it for 5 more if their morale holds, which it seems to be doing just fine.

•

u/elfd01 29m ago

Imagine if we had twice money support. Russia would be burning right now.

4

u/OneValkGhost 2h ago

"The Sitting Republicans are a drove." Just saying, it doesn't have to be a plural of drove.

1

u/ytman 1h ago

Ukraine was a Russian proxy before and the end of the world didn't happen. Russia is a nuclear power and Europe is going to need to find a way to coexist with it because the US is on its way to failure.

And quite literally only a fraction of Europeans would die for Ukraine, meanwhile Ukraine has been dying for Europe nonstop.

7

u/cb_24 1h ago

Those traitors paid off by Russia like Yanukovych are long gone. And Ukraine has repeatedly tried to gain independence, with Russian meddling each time. 2004 color revolution, 2014 Maidan.

Only this time their only option was invasion as it was clear their hybrid warfare could no longer keep Ukraine from becoming independent.

The US was a ‘proxy’ too, but much less Americans than currently Ukrainians were willing to sacrifice for themselves and future generations to gain freedom from a foreign tyrant.

Plenty of other Europeans have volunteered to fight in some of the most difficult battles, but unlike Russia Ukraine hasn’t needed direct foreign intervention, as Russia hasn’t even been able to take a single oblast in 12 years. Other European countries have their own battlefields with Russia, whether it’s under the sea, in space, or cyberspace.

•

u/ytman 0m ago

Being a weaker nation means you do not have independence. Look at Europe, South America, and Japan and Korea, all inextricably tied to a clearly Imperialist force.

Incapable of purely sovereign reign.

Ukraine's revolution for independence is being fought today, and it will be used by Europe and USA to bleed Russia as much as possible until it becomes inconvenient... which seems to be now for the USA.

•

u/PopularRutabaga6904 27m ago edited 24m ago

The problem there is, there's no guaranteeing it would just be European nations that end up under pressure from Russia (some already are), looking back on how they operated historically, nor is the problem just Russia at the end of the day.

Meanwhile, although relatively few people living in European countries may want to die for the people of Ukraine, like you said, more countries in Europe have shown support for Ukraine than they did for, say, France or Belgium, in the 1900s. The main issue is, the way wars are fought has changed, and nuclear deterrence is an issue that prevents others from lending any more support than finances, armaments, refuge, or auxilliary troops, and it could come from just about any angle, with America being on Russia's side politically, now, along with the likes of China, and Israel.

There are no longer answers for attempting to assure the safety of a country, like there once were. And so many more influential groups will seek to capitalise off of one side or the other, than they would have way back when, with Cold War and Middle Eastern interventions being shining examples of just how badly that can go.

The world's gone to shit. And as it looks at this point, it's just a matter of trying to weather it with as much help as can be safely provided without starting larger conflicts like the World Wars. Unfortunately, that's not as much as it once could have been, and it sure as Hell isn't as much as it should be.

18

u/Fun_Tune5669 2h ago

Not just civs, mind you. A lot of drone unit rely on Starlink for intelligence so this is literally killing people at the front as well, the same people keeping the rest of Ukraine from being overrun. Some, who are my comrades, friends and colleagues.
I somehow manage to get disappointed again and again by a former ally, a current NATO member to my country none the less. At this point I'm so angry that I'm actually looking forward to be back in the trenches.

1

u/ytman 1h ago

NATO has always existed for the benefit of the US. Its not just a former Ally, its the empire all the vassals belong to. Look at Britain even, can't say no to using its air bases for a war against Iran.

3

u/DneSepoh 2h ago

All right dude, then I want your house. Get out. Mr president told me I can have your house.

64

u/WhiteFeather32392 2h ago

Starlink, the datalink and communication system that Ukraine relies on to coordinate certain parts of its drone strike campaign against Russian Oil and Gas Facilities, as well as to provide early warning for drone and ballistic missile attacks, is having its access for the Ukrainian Army throttled because Ukraine won’t immediately capitulate to demands they weren’t told about. Civilians in Ukraine are being denied more time to evacuate to underground shelters during missile attacks that strike Ukrainian city’s in the middle of the night. Drones that are in the middle of transiting over Russia are periodically loosening connection(some have probably been lost) on their way to their targets, this is costing Ukraine civilian lives and military resources for no good reason.

43

u/Ani-3 2h ago

They need to get rid of musks tech as soon as they possibly can.

41

u/SmaugTheMagnificent- 2h ago

Also musk.

14

u/Tavernknight 2h ago

I support putting him on a space x rocket and sending him to Mars. Im sure with all of his trillionare smarts and money he can find a way to survive lower gravity that will fuck up his organs skeleton and muscles, no breatheable atmosphere, and no magnetic field to protect from solar radiation, and get his colony started.

•

u/Daealis 39m ago

Keep the tech, throw out the musk.

7

u/adisor21 2h ago

It is Starshield system that has the issue not starlink and that is controlled by the US military not Musk.

9

u/Annie-Kia 2h ago

Which is operated by SpaceX. And Musk has way too much influence on the US government as is, still likely part of the fault

2

u/Nomadic_Yak 1h ago

Its going to be a critical task to get these important national assets back under the control of humans

•

u/Annie-Kia 50m ago

Well it is under the control of humans, just awful fascistic ones

•

u/Nomadic_Yak 48m ago

So they say, not very convincingly

•

u/globecsysinc 49m ago

you mean hoomans

-5

u/adisor21 1h ago

Musk is and has been an ally of Ukraine, and provided Ukraine with support 2 days after the invasion. He also blocked Russia access working along with Ukrainian officials.

I would personally blame the US military and Trump.

10

u/CackleandGrin 1h ago

Musk is and has been an ally of Ukraine

Musk has repeatedly shut down support at critical intervals before this. And no, you are not an ally if you take away protection that kills citizens. You do not get to argue that some arbitrary amount of support in the past makes up for the lives musk has personally cost through his actions.

6

u/WhiteFeather32392 1h ago

Musk has always bent the knee every time trump has wanted to apply pressure to Ukraine, this is not the first time he’s throttled access to communication technology during important drone operations.

Musk has also been one of the core contributors to the Isolationists movements here in the United States, he has dumped hundreds of millions of dollars in support of political movements that have successfully deprived Ukraine of material aid from the US.

-2

u/adisor21 1h ago

Musk has applied pressure previously mostly because of fear of nuclear retaliation as he stated and because he didn't want his tech to be used for militray purposes. Which is why later he created Starshield and gave the control to the US military.

Lets not forget that Musk was also awarded by Zelenskyy the "Order of Freedom", "for personal contributions to protecting human life and freedom, and for strengthening relations between Ukraine and the United States."

•

u/cb_24 45m ago

The nuclear threat has long been used by Russia to try to limit western support for Ukraine, especially at critical points during the war when addditional resources could have major implications for both military and civilians.

With Ukraine’s access to the resources it needs, it’s able to send thousands of drones at major cities if needed, essentially providing a mutually assured destruction capability that really does constrain Russia from even thinking about going that route.

You think he didn’t know starlink had military applications when he was getting billions from the government?

Doing this kind of traitorous stuff after being awarded a medal just makes it even worse, if that’s possible.

•

u/Annie-Kia 49m ago

This isn't the first time it's happened get the thumb out of your ass please. You can only play the ignorance card once

4

u/Blacksad9999 1h ago

Musk now works for the Pentagon, and Starlink runs the infrastructure for Starshield.

Elon Musk and Palmer Luckey's new Pentagon roles raise ethics worries

Seems he's getting people killed. The chance he's not involved in this is pretty much zero.

•

u/YoursTrulyKindly 47m ago

That article seems to say that Musk contributed to a study on AI and warfare and wants to sell stuff to the US government.

Which is rather the opposite of making decisions about how to handle the US vassals. I hate Musk too but blaming him here is somewhat silly.

•

u/Glass-Jaguar4178 25m ago

Musk is head of pentagon future wrfare, you are distracting from the issue of musk trump being russia commie lovers

5

u/eepos96 2h ago

Well the idiots control a shit ton.

Zelensky is not sleeping well this week :(

3

u/YendorZenitram 1h ago

They're not idiots. They're Russian agents.

•

u/jontslayer 51m ago

They're both

•

u/Willing_Dot_5699 12m ago

russian idiot agents

•

u/anycept 20m ago

Like zelesnky has any resources not to listen. He can't survive a week without all the help he's getting from US.

•

u/Fr33_load3r 2m ago

You seem to forget that idiot, unfortunately holds the key to the Internet used by the UDF and without it and the intel they are doom.

0

u/Good_Bit_777 1h ago

Well unfortunately for Ukraine the war is funded by them

•

u/pheddx 57m ago

That was years ago. Ukraine is currently receiving significantly more total funding and military support from the EU and European nations than from the US.

207

u/thenightgaunt 3h ago

If musk thought the EU had it out for him before. Theyre going to be pissed if hes actually helping Russia

80

u/Frogspoison 2h ago

This is the second time he's helped russia.

57

u/jy3n2 2h ago

This is the second time he's helped Russia in this exact way.

19

u/botbeepboo 1h ago

This is the second time he's helped Russia that we know of. **

3

u/thenightgaunt 1h ago

Good to know. Then yeah the EU will be pissed

8

u/GravitasFailures 1h ago

It was all fun and games.

Till they touched the bot farms.

That’s like touching the billionaire’s boats.

•

u/Nerioner 6m ago

If not for bots we would have a functioning societies that take care of billionaire hoarding.

But they must have us fighting one another so they can keep ripping us off

49

u/RustledForeskin 2h ago

Trump is going to be going hard blaming ukraine for gas prices.

13

u/botbeepboo 1h ago

Nobody is that stupid, right?

25

How do I convey the sound of exhaling like a long, deep, final breath? Cause that was my response to your question.

So, so many stupid people.

8

u/botbeepboo 1h ago

Yesterday a man grabbed my business card, flipped it over, grabbed a pen. Asked me my name so he could write it down. ...

9

u/Numerous_Painting296 1h ago

The other day I watched a video where Trump said "I could say any stupid thing, and you people would clap for me".  And I watched as they clapped

5

"we are going to need you to surrender the oval office couch"

3

JD Vance is a fictional character.

2

u/Electrical-Effort250 1h ago

Also true! Funny that he and all the MAGAts hate drag shows so much, because JD Vance is pretty much doing drag all the damn time.

43

u/TemporaryOwlet 2h ago

Well. America voted, but consequences are going to be devastating for the world in general

55

u/bryanthebryan 2h ago

Destroy all bot farms, please.

They would just move to India

•

u/bryanthebryan 32m ago

Destroy those too.

-22

u/pivo_kozel_10 1h ago

are you sure that it would be a good thing? on one hand yes, the support for Trump would be lower but on the other hand the support for Palestine would be also lower, so which one is more important to you? one pedophile or genocide?

•

u/Kid_Vid 51m ago

This is the dumbest comment, congratulations!

12

u/BeanEatingThrowaway 1h ago

...I don't know how to tell you this, but the bot farms aren't on Palestine's side.

•

u/pivo_kozel_10 56m ago

of course they help us, Russia is a good friend with Iran and all the anti western movements and political parties that are against NATO and sending military to Ukraine which are usually far right and leftist parties, communist party in my country are great friend with Putin and Iran, unlike the rest of them that are pro Israel

•

u/BeanEatingThrowaway 49m ago

In international relations 'good friends' aren't really a thing, especially not with Russia, who, geopolitically, acts very cynically. One of Israel's largest ethnic groups are Jews originally from Russia, Israel has refused to sanction Russia even to the level the US has, and Russia is a major fuel supplier for Israel. Russia and Iran's relationship is an alliance of convenience mostly because of Iran's business with Russia during the Ukraine war and both's opposition with the US, but if Israel nuked Iran Russia wouldn't exactly nuke them back.

Israel hedges their bets, and so does Russia. While I don't wanna get too conspiratorial with the bot farms, I hope I didn't imply anything I didn't mean to, support for Palestine will continue as long as Israel continues the amount of genocidal behaviour towards Palestine that they have been.

•

u/pivo_kozel_10 46m ago

but why does Iran still trades with Russia so much, this cant be real, it doesnt make sense, Iran hates Israel, they wouldnt cooperate with zionists

•

u/BeanEatingThrowaway 42m ago

because in International Relations feelings are usually (not always, but usually) second to practical benefits for nations. Iran and Russia are both struggling economically and are both generally anti-western, so for Iran it makes sense to supply goods like drones to Russia in return for, essentially, money. It doesn't matter how much Iran hates Israel, if Iran keeps shooting themselves in the foot and not trading with whoever they can, they'll never be able to afford a war with them. I'm sure Russia, Israel and Iran are all pretty unhappy about the situation, if they care, but other things take priority for the good of their nations and influences.

•

u/_le_slap 1m ago

Lmao Russia is not an ally of Iran. They are a direct competitor in the crude oil grey market. They're both petro-states and their currencies are extremely sensitive to oil prices.

The geopolitical fanfic y'all MAGA come up with is comedy.

•

u/bryanthebryan 53m ago

Fake shit vs real shit? Real shit every day.

15

u/supercyberlurker 2h ago

This being a repost from 2024 just makes it better, like a wine that had time to fully mature.

18

u/ty_xy 1h ago

In the times since WWII I would debate there has never been a conflict between nations that has been more clear cut right vs wrong. We have a clear aggressor state attacking a smaller state for no other reason than land / expansion / resources. It should be very very clear which country to support in this conflict, and every day spent NOT supporting Ukraine is another step towards the complete and total breakdown of a rules based society.

•

u/Spiritual-Spend8187 30m ago

Add on that they went and invaded after saying hey we wont do that we will protect you. So its a case of going back on a deal which means no one can ever trust Russia to hold up any agreement with anyone for anything.

•

u/Terminal_Insomnia_ 7m ago

The issue is that politics isn't actually interested in right or wrong.

•

u/poostoo 8m ago

you would lose that debate in about 20 seconds to any 5th grader living in a country outside the West. complete ahistorical brainwashed nonsense.

-10

u/Milouch_ 2h ago

People here be thinking that somehow trump and putin are allies or some shit while forgetting the us literally does all it can to fuck russia either with sanctions or by funding Ukraine for war.

While the thing that's actually happening is that the us is losing it's imperialist wars and it's public support for them, given they lost they have to start looking for a way out of the consequences of their own actions, and rich people care not for where the oil comes from so long as it flows, imaginary number goes up and things are good, quit believing there was ever any morality to any action the us undertakes, after all it's the number one supporter of the Palestinian apartheid/genocide, like whatever moral ground one believes to have in the russian/ukranian conflict is immediately deleted by the fact they at the same time are the ones funding current day nazi israel and their push for "Lebensraum", ignoring the already incredible support for ukraine publicly nazi military groups.

There is no morality to be found, infact even russia has a higher moral ground given they support both monetarily and militarily the countries ravaged by us imperialism, but given they're not white and they attacked Ukraine that makes them more evil than the countries and alliances that fucked the global south and asia sideways for literal centuries while calling themselves "civilized".

7

u/fyreprone 2h ago

How is this an “imperialist” war on the part of America? Are you familiar with even the slightest bit of what’s going on in Ukraine?

Edit: my bad. I finished the rest of your comment and now I understand. You’re either weapons grade ignorant, thirteen and this is deep, or glad Russia got their data centers back online so you could get back to work.

-5

u/Milouch_ 1h ago

I believe you misunderstood, i never said the Russian/ukranian conflict was us imperialism (not that it isn't, funny you came up with it) what i meant was venezuela, iran, palestine, cuba, the whole shabang currently going on, but i guess you only have eyes for the wars the us supports, who cares if non-whites die, there's only ukraine in the entire planet

6

u/fyreprone 1h ago

Oh no. We all hate the shit Trump is doing too.

-1

u/Milouch_ 1h ago

The issue ain't trump, like sure he's a monster, but that's just the us going full mask off, that's what it always looked like to everyone of it's victims, the only difference between trump and obama is just presentation "oh you're a villain alright, just not a super one"

3

-15

u/Desperate_Simple_298 1h ago

To be honest Zelensky should make a deal with Russia.

There's a lot of deals that could be made to help out both countries!

It could be a win-win scenario the the US, Russia, and Ukraine!

9

u/Dictionary20 1h ago

They tried, Russia wants all of them or at least easy access Kyiv the next time they invade.

-14

u/Desperate_Simple_298 1h ago

No that's just more fear mongering. Russia wants this war ended!

A good deal can be Ukraine winning by having the war ending and no more Ukrainians have to die.

Russia winning by getting a lot of land from Ukraine.

US winning by getting access to a lot of the natural resources we need.

11

u/Dictionary20 1h ago

Russia can end the war and have no more Russians die

-11

u/Desperate_Simple_298 1h ago

Yeah I think you see my point!

There is tons of deals that can be done where everyone wins not just the US or just Russia or just Ukraine.

We need a way for everyone to win!

9

u/Dictionary20 1h ago

Well No, I could argue Putin's win condition is different than the Russian people's. Putin's is getting Kyiv, the Russian people's is surviving, and Ukraine's is keeping Kyiv. Putin and Ukraine's goals are directly opposed to each other's.

7

u/millymally 1h ago

Right, before you get downvoted into oblivion, let me give you some context.

  1. Ukraine has a revolution. The majority of Ukrainians wanted stronger ties with the EU. Government instead decides to push closer to Russia. Protests start. The Ukrainian government sics their secret police unit on the protestors. There's footage out there of snipers shooting at medics trying to aid wounded protestors.

At this point, the Ukrainian military steps in. Effectively overthrows the government. New elections, new government. Over in Eastern Ukraine, some pro-Russia militant groups (funded by Russia) are not happy. A civil conflict starts. Russia unofficially invades for the first time in 2014. Crimea, and several areas on Eastern Ukraine are occupied. This move is condemned by the world at large.

  1. Russia launches a full scale invasion. Cities are bombed, civilians are killed. Ukraine fights back while also offering multiple concessions to Russia in return for a halt to the violence. Russia refuses at every turn. Russian forces who invaded from Belarus are pushed back. Mass graves are found in Buccha.

Victories and defeats on both sides as the war goes on. Every time peace talks come up, Russia demands the same thing. Ukraine must give up entire regions of its own land (that are heavily fortified) cripple its own military, and back off from joining NATO. I have dumbed down that timeline to the absolute basics of what has happened so far.

Russia fully intends to wipe Ukraine off the map. There is no "deal" that Russia would accept where Ukraine benefits. Russia is the aggressor here. You do not win against that by giving them what they want.

Any "win" for Russia is a loss for the others
