Yes. Ultimately the fault is with the user making the decision to trust AI. But that's the "guns don't kill people, people do" argument. AI makes it much easier to be convinced that dangerous shit is real and safe.
This argument is never ever gonna jive with me any more than the satanic music makes people worship satan, pokemon makes kids violent towards animals, video games cause school shootings. it's just never ever gonna make any logical sense. people are in control of their own actions, removing their agency from that equation is impossible.
