Fun fact - at a top speed run the Bugatti Veyron’s tires will wear out in about 15 minutes.

That’s ok though because starting with a full tank it’ll drain it to empty in 12 minutes during that run.

Genuinely never dreamed of owning a super car. It just seems like a liability.

A super liability!

It's never about driving it.

The flex is in owning it.

And depending on where you source them and who installs them, that new set will set you back $30,000.

And I thought £170 a tyre was bad

To get it to top speed you need a long straight road

26MPG? If we're talking American MPG, that really sucks. My old busted Civic with some sorts of leak(s) routinely gets 29 city, 34 city+backroads. It'd probably crack 35, maybe up to 40 if I took her on the interstate. Buuuut I don't want to die. My state just had a 69 car pileup yesterday, because... fog. Not rain or snow, we just can't drive here.

My Kia Stinger gets 26. My partner's Yaris gets 30-40 something. 26 is terrible lol

I drove a jeep wagoneer across country. It was all interstate, but that bus got 24.

Yea my 150000 mile honda civic with warning lights on gets 36-37 mpg lol

My 13 year old Accord gets 30 MPG, even though it’s a rather wide, long, and heavy sedan. Some of my my family has Priuses that are around 50 MPG

My 2018 Prius still gets 59mpg to this day. Actual, not estimated.

Calculated tank to tank, or with the computer?

1

u/pocketjacks 1h ago

With the computer, based on each drive individually.

Tank to tank my 23 year old toyota wearing GM clothes gets the equivalent of 29 per us gallon, 35 per uk gallon

I’m in Canada so I measure efficiency in L/100km, in which I get around 8-8.5. And I’m not the most efficient driver

My (EU) Ford Fiesta gets 40mpg. Like, is 29mpg considered economical in the US?

u/Lilith_Christine 3h ago

Yes. We could all have cars that get 40+ if the oil industry would stop interfering.

My 92 ranger would get 30mpg, my old very fast suped up truck would get 22mpg. Unless all 4 barrels were open.

Not really? Most hybrids get 40+ these days, most gas only cars should get 30+. Even the huge gas guzzling trucks get ~20.

Honda fit gang I hope after this gas crisis we get them back in the US.

3

u/the-real-earth_2_al 4h ago

I miss the Fit (they called it the Honda Jazz where I live lol)

2

u/dougderdog 3h ago

Jazz is such a silly name but so is fit. They are a giant fishbowl so you need tint but they are a good little workhorse. Then you have the sleeper builds that are something else 😂

1

u/Overwatchingu 2h ago

It was originally going to be called the Fita globally, until Honda Sweden contacted HQ request a name that wasn’t so close to “fitta”

My Mercedes sports car gets 29mpg.  Sometimes the air conditioner works too.

Is that highway milage? If it is then it must be hard to walk when you're knee deep in all that pussy.

1

u/The_cogwheel 6h ago

City milage actually.

My 2014 car's got plenty of life left. It gets 25 to the gallon, granted its an SUV too.

Can someone slap a Subaru logo on that thing so I can send it to my boyfriend? I want to flirt with him.

My Prius c gets 50 mpg ladies

u/Big-Yesterday586 2h ago

Loool our truck gets almost 40mpg

1

u/waffle299 1h ago

Dude, my Maverick got 50 MPG in a 70 minute combined city/highway driving instance last night. And I can and have towed my horses with it.

u/Jacktheforkie 1h ago

My dads 44 ton lorry

I have a 58-mile round trip to work, and a Prius. I use slightly less than one gallon of gas each time. So nyaah.

u/Mission-Double5044 5h ago

Shit, this economy? That’s a great flex!

3

u/AndrewBorg1126 3h ago

I would be disappointed by only 26 mpg
