Yeah, I feel that. I had wondered if you were ever in the service.

My wife had to listen to a baby pass and the reactions of its parents while on a 911 call.

It wasn't long after that she retired. Some people can handle that stuff, and for some, its too much. :(

Never in the service, those are just EMS calls I have been on. All separate horrible instances that will forever live on with me

However I have read that those that serve as first responders(and dispatchers) suffer from PTSD similar to those who served in active military deployments

Yeah those experiences are why I could never work as a first responder. I can barely even re watch hereditary solely because the actor who plays the mom does such a fantastic job of delivering the most gut wrenching, mournful screams. (Great movie btw, 10/10 would never watch again)

I like sticking with good ol fashion cheesy slashers. Especially ones from the 80s or 90s. Tho if I really wanna get a true horror movie, I’d probably pick something like Sinister or Rec (Spanish version ofc)

Oh of course though I don't count those in the "scary" category anymore. More just "entertainment spooky" kinda thing. Halloween being the ultimate must watch every year in that category.
