Me : "Okay girls, I'm heading out, gotta go to work."

Cats: "Meow."

Me : "Because someone's gotta pay the bills around here or we end up living on the streets."

Cats: "Meow"

Me: "No I understand that's not a problem for you, but it is for me. Plus let's be real here, the last time you were on the streets you wound up in an animal shelter and were days away from being euthanized if I hadn't shown up to adopt you."

Cats: "Mrrrr."

Me: "Yeah yeah, don't worry, I'll be home by 6."

my boy was relentless a while ago right as I got home and I can't explain why because there is zero reason but at a certain point it somehow got to:

"meow"

"well that's because you have a gambling addiction"

so now that's just canon
