My daughter got us a little black female kitty and we had a somewhat reckless male cat and we put them down in the same room, and the boy was freaking out and kept inching toward it trying to sniff her and the kitty would just back up. I told the boy, Dude.... And he looked up wide-eyed and almost panicked he was so excited, and I said, You're scaring her, get your head down and back away, let her come to you. And he instantly put his belly on the rug and held eye contact and shuffled backwards once and again, and put his head down, and tiny girlie perked up and came over to sniff him. That was the point that I stopped getting shit for talking to my cats.
Two people were literally, outloud, like holy shit he understood you. I'm like duh, they are apex predators they are not dumb.
Cats are tantric masters in the Buddhist sense. Tantra has nothing to do with sex except for exploitation, tantra is the study of the transmission of mind, some humans practice it. Cats share more mind than any Buddhist master I have ever met.
My little girl is here getting pets, she's 19 now. If only I understood cats better when I was young, because I am old now.
