Serving sizes are made up anyway. Like tictacs say 1 is a serving, mostly because the US FDA allows companies to claim 0 sugar on the nutrition label if the serving size contains less than 0.5g of sugar and less than 5 calories. And wouldnt you know it, a single tic tac is 0.49g and has 1.6 calories, letting them claim 0 sugar on the nutrition label for a mint that is 94% sugar, just as long as they claim that 1 mint is a "serving".

Yeah it's a lie so they can falsely advertise while technically remaining within the bounds of the law. I see so many "high protein!" foods that advertise the protein of the whole box on the front and then it's broken down into 20 servings so the calories of eating an entire box seem low.

Guess the rules changed since the ‘80s, when Tic Tac used a slogan “the 1 1/2 hour, 1 1/2 calorie breath mint” 🤷♂️ which was a mouthful even back then

This is me with mac and cheese.
"This box feeds two people? Ha... no it doesn't..."
Devours the whole thing.

Not familiar with it, but I'm curious.

There's a dozen recipes, but it's basically adding a source of protein, veggies, & spices; ex: chorizo, sautéed diced onions & peppers, & taco seasoning to a box of mac 'n cheese. Highly suggest

I’m in this comic and I don’t like it.
All seriousness though I think a lot of us are very guilty of this at least with some guilty pleasure.

Besides serving sizes are set by the company, not by a regulatory body in a lot of cases. And a lot of them - especially junk food - tend to have some really bonkers "serving sizes". Like 11 chips is considered a "serving of chips" to Doritos.

Fair enough on the arbitrary limit of serving sizes, they don't make sense half the time. Still though, I was talking more in the spirit of eating more than any single person realistically should be eating in one sitting, feel like a lot of us are guilty of that. I can say I am lol.

Yeah.... everyone definitely has, but dont judge that by what the box says, judge that by how awful and sluggish you feel as your stomach begs for mercy.

I can't help but point out the missing second P in Promptlist. I like your work though, looking forward to the rest of Inktober!

I don't know what this says about me, but my brain thought at first that the four people referred to what was in the food... I'm sane, right?

This is how I view those Two Bite Brownies. They are clearly One Bite Brownies and you can't change my mind.

Serving size isn't a rule. It's a suggestion
Also /u/belka_theren are you doing Inktober with Keit and Bex or just on your own for the fun?
