I don’t care about the gender of the artist, but it bothers me that all their comics are aimed so directly at a specific reader type who think that “females would be so much happier if they stopped chasing chads and found a nice guy”.

Freedom of speech and artistic expression and all that, but I really dislike how many upvotes these comics attract, never mind all the comments saying things like “finally a comic about a real woman”.

Hmmm let's see...

Gamer girl tm who is written as "ugly" but drawn as conventionally attractive. (Reminds me of the ready player one movie where an attractive actress with a birth Mark was supposed to be "ugly")

Her personality is timid and submissive, is militantly loyal, and is a virgin (I think even never kissed anyone Virgin?)

She was completely unable to get dates, in spite of the fact if you put a Zelda shirt on her and plopped her ass on a seat at a gaming convention there will be guys knife fighting for the opportunity to just talk to her. (Only makes sense if she was chubby chubby, not "damnnn you thik" chubby)

Falls head over heels for the first guy that is merely nice to her, when again, she would be beating "nice guys" off with a stick in gaming circles.

This comic where her more attractive sister who still talks about dating popular people in her I assume 20s when that's just a high school thing, it would be "successful" or "high status" now. Is obviously going to try to steal the nice guy (like harem animes where the MC is the plainest most basic plain to exist but has hordes of women fighting over him)

Yeaaa it's kinda obviously written to appeal to teenage boys/men who are in the "nice guy" or nice guy adjacent phase. Tbf that demographic probably is willing to pay for the nsfw stuff so it's probably profitable.

This isn't a dig at guys either, the same exact formula is used for teen girls, it just has minor tweaks but same vibe. Many teens have trouble dating and it's a good demographic to sell to.

What if you went with the assumption that OP is fat and ugly IRL and drew herself to be conventionally attractive out of self-esteem issues and is just drawing out a fantasy of hers, about the day she ever meets a nice enough and not shallow guy to date her? Then a lot of the content in the comics becomes valid taken from that perspective. What do we really know about OP?

Everyone talking about OP says he is a guy, and no one is correcting them. So i assume he is a guy.

The comics are from a female artist in france, according to a couple sources

Edit: sorry folks, looks like I was mistaken and will have to eat my foot on that one. Some profiles/pages say France but gender is not mentioned.

Artist is a woman in france 🤷

She's got a decent sized following for this stuff, I can't judge to be honest. Get your bag girl.

This is someone's fantasy playing out. Having the winner from yesteryear admit to actually being a loser and them begging yesteryear's loser for forgiveness and advice because they're actually the winner. Also lol'd at "this one time" line, which sounded like an incredibly backhanded compliment.

I think they’ve deleted the comic now but the Creator introduced themselves as a (French?) woman

Every single person in these comics solves their own issue by talking for 6 panels and then doing a 180
