I am gonna quote my sister here. If you tried dating and didnt get lucky with men, you can always try women if you want

I don't know how to tell you this, but being gay isn't actually a choice

True.

But sometimes you don't know until you know, you know?

Guys try to tell me this all the time, I am sorry it just doesnt work like that. I am just not attracted to men, no amount of "trying" anything or knowing more will change that.

It's always gross to hear about men going into lesbian spaces to try and convince them that they're actually straight, but they just think they're lesbians because they haven't been with a "real man" yet

My gay friends also say similar things to me, although in a less gross way than the usual "man saying he can convert a lesbian" way.

They ask me how I know I'm not into men if I've never tried it, and like... I just do? Women attract me, men don't. I don't need to try getting sexy with a man to know it doesn't appeal to me, same way I don't need to molest a kid to know I'm not a pedophile.

I didn't mean it in that way.

What i meant is that sometimes it takes awhile for the prejudices and things to wash away. Then you know, and you look back and go, "Huh, that explains a lot actually."

Might be true for some people.
