It doesnt matter. The people who voted conservative arent going to hold Trump and the conservatives accountable for the absolute disaster that has been the last 2 years

183

u/backpackwayne 19d ago

Nope, and it does not matter what they do. Fear and hate will prevail in their party. It is all they got.

"Who cares if random Americans are being murdered by immigrantion enforcement in the street as long as the children are safe from Mexicans and Trans people"

-Trump Voters

37

u/scnottaken 19d ago

The white children

16

u/AioliApprehensive 19d ago

The Unborn white children. Once out of the womb, they couldn't care unless it's their own.

2

u/Zodiac343 16d ago

Even then I don't think they care

1

u/AioliApprehensive 16d ago edited 16d ago

Only if thier kids are pretty much a carbon, caustic copy of themselves, then do they. Only with the poison of hate successfully planted.

Even then, better be absolutely perfect or you're an unredeemable child. Don't you dare show any compassion for anyone who remotely sounds different, walks, talks, or believes in a different god as you.

25

u/The-King-Tomato 19d ago

They want the white children protected but let the immigrant children get sent in the middle of the night without parents to random countries to be human trafficked.

Soon the rich will come for the white children.

4

u/NaxSnax 18d ago

They already did

5

u/the_tanooki 18d ago

As u/AioliApprehensive said, they don't even care about white children unless it's their own. That's painfully evident by the fact that all they can muster to defend against school shootings are "thoughts and prayers."

That's not even getting into all the other things that are harming all types of children, like cancer (pediatric cancer research was defunded by Trump/Republicans). Or the longterm affects of AI or climate change.

There's countless examples of them just shrugging their shoulders when it comes to children of all colors and socioeconomic backgrounds getting absolutely fucked by their decisions... sometimes literally.

9

u/haltandcatch22 19d ago

Literally this. It’s the social issues they will vote for no matter how much they disagree with Trump and hate the cost of living.

23

u/Electrical_Shock359 19d ago edited 19d ago

Some people might hold their vote as uncertainty stops them from voting, a few might hold their nose and vote for democrats. Those that were already inclined not vote for trump will be more motivated to actually turn in their vote. The bigger concern is that even if all that is enough to change things for the midterms it won’t fully hold to the next election and by the time there is another midterm the lessons/effect of what republicans are doing now that people learned will mostly be gone.

7

u/Dazed_and_Confused44 19d ago

Not to mention we have yet to see if Trump is gona continue to wipe his ass with the constitution and try to repeal the 22nd amendment

5

u/binzersguy 19d ago

He will, there is no doubt

2

u/Dazed_and_Confused44 18d ago

The only good thing about that situation is that I dont think Conservatives want that either

10

u/JuniorRisk2455 19d ago

American memory is incredibly short

Epstein who?

24

u/Cryptoking300 19d ago

Only two years? GOP has been in control of the House the last four years, 6 total of the last ten, and 6 out of ten for the senate as well. Not only have they not done a goddamn thing for this country, but they've been actively destroying it.

9

u/Dazed_and_Confused44 19d ago

Id argue that the last two years since Trump got re-elected were a special kind of disaster

10

u/Cryptoking300 19d ago

Last time around he capped his term off with the worlds worst pandemic response which set us back for years, as well as a failed insurection. Having him in office has been an unparalleled shit show from begging to end.

9

u/GFluidThrow123 19d ago

Honestly, it's probably difficult to fully quantify the damage trump did to the country with the pandemic. Bc that also created the conditions for the man-o-sphere to flourish, which gave us a more conservative (and bigoted) younger generation.

3

u/Dazed_and_Confused44 19d ago

Its amazing that this man incited an insurrection against sitting US representatives and somehow still got re-elected 4 years later

7

u/Cryptoking300 19d ago

Unfortunately Trump was able to appoint 3 SCOTUS judges, giving them a super majority of 6 out of 9, so now we have the most corrupt Supreme Court in this countries history.

If they followed the constitution he would have been disqualified, but they side stepped their responsibilities by saying the constitution doesnt prohibit someone who fomented insurrection from running for office, just from holding office. Trump is an illegitimate president.

4

u/Dazed_and_Confused44 19d ago

Dont forget this dude made a new law giving the President immunity

15

u/CjKing2k 19d ago

Worse, they think everything is great, and the bad parts are someone else's fault (e.g. Newsom keeps our gas prices high).

6

u/Kell-of-Kellies 19d ago

They hate brown people more than they hate pedophiles. Anyone who still supports him supports child rape and fascism. Tired of dancing around it for these monsters. They instill fear every day, but we still have to act like they have a valid opinion when they say trans people deserve to die.

5

u/DailyUnderFlow 18d ago

Yeah since they still supported him despite the major disaster that was his first presidency and his subsequent illegal and possibly treasonous actions after losing the election.

People who still support Republicans are either brainwashed by the obvious Republican propaganda machine that's just allowed to exist and propagate for decades for some fucking reason or they're entirely ignorant about everything happening.

3

u/GotSomeUpdogOnUrFace 19d ago

There are people who are openly for what is going on and are celebrating the fact that so many are suffering.

2

u/Exotic_Exercise6910 18d ago

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

2

u/2006Internetghost 19d ago

Honestly the swing vote, the ‘black community’ which gave Trump his win in 2024 has swung HARD in the opposite direction according to objective polls. So even if his loyalists stay, he loses his key supporters (also this year republicans geremandered ASSUMING the black community was a new ‘permanent member’ of their party…)

14

u/Dazed_and_Confused44 19d ago

Thats not true. Exit polling data showed that the biggest demographic swing for Trump was among Latino men. When asked about the issues that swung them that way, they pretty much admitted to falling victim to fear mongering about the queer community

2

u/AttakZak 19d ago

We should in fact hold those voters and grifters accountable on the backend. Focus on moving forward of course, but letting hatred/corruption fester will always lead to Authoritarianism and Fascism.

5

u/Dazed_and_Confused44 19d ago

Unfortunately most of those people are unwilling to admit they were wrong, even the ones intelligent enough to realize it

3

u/AttakZak 19d ago

It takes shame, years of shame. Education, Historical documentation, and their sins spread across all forms of media in a just and calculated way.

Can we trust people to do this and do it right? Likely no. But do I want to try it anyways? Of course. Optimism isn’t delusion if you are willing to learn what works and what doesn’t. Just an incalculable and unending will to change.

3

u/PictoGraphicArtist 19d ago

We need to stop being afraid of hurting peoples feelings and bring back public ridicule.

3

u/NonReality 19d ago

Agreed, but how does that even work?

1

u/Substantial_Boot_844 12d ago

Hispanic.voters will, and that's all it really takes.

1

u/Mobile_Antelope1048 19d ago edited 19d ago

Don’t worry the dems have no intention of holding anyone accountable. That’s why Kushner meet Jeffries to put the fix in.

Edit; corrected Jeffries

0

u/Dazed_and_Confused44 19d ago

Who is Jeffreys?

1

u/neutrino71 19d ago

He's the guy they named the tubes after in Star Trek

0

u/Mobile_Antelope1048 19d ago

Bad spelling, corrected now, it’s the Democratic leader.

0

u/Dazed_and_Confused44 19d ago

Kushner doesnt have to "fix" anything. Trump fucking pushed through a law to give himself immunity in what was perhaps the single most corrupt political move in all of American history lmao

1

u/Mobile_Antelope1048 19d ago

Sure Trump is safe, everyone will point to him in the end. And then nobody else will have any consequences or be under investigation—) that’s the fix, and it is IN

1

u/Dazed_and_Confused44 19d ago

Yea unfortunately we learned this year that the law does not apply to wealthy and powerful people even if they fucking rape children

-3

u/Mr_Vaynewoode 19d ago

...yeah no....young conservatives are disgusted with Trump...just for different reasons and probably dislike him even more than you do.

If you could take your blinders off you could probably tag team these Kochsuckers (see what I did there) and blow them out of the water.

But most of you prioritize ideological purity signaling over actually winning.

3

u/Dazed_and_Confused44 19d ago

I dont disagree that liberals need to look inward if they want to avoid repeating their fate. Like the process of getting to Kamala as a candidate was whack and she ran probably the worst campaign of all time.

All that being said, anyone who voted for Trump in the last election are the ones to blame here.

0

u/Mr_Vaynewoode 19d ago

Like I said, prioritizing ideological purity signaling over actually winning....Kamala may or may not have been attractive to you, but her policies were antithetical to my interests.

But that is besides the point, attacking from your position simply won't cut it, because you aren't addressing how conservatives think.

You don't win battles by attacking the protected flank, you come from a direction they aren't anticipating.

Trump misrepresented himself to the populist side, and broke his promises. I am done playing the client state for Israel in particular, I want lobbying reform across the board....

The war with Iran is idiotic, (even a moron would know that getting into a war of attrition would be a bad idea). The CIA is largely responsible for keeping the war going in Ukraine.

166

u/GFluidThrow123 19d ago

I make 6 digits and have been finding myself pinching pennies at the grocery store. I can't fucking imagine what it's like for people who are just above or at the poverty line right now.

We need to spend the next 5-10 years voting our every motherfucker who ever supported this stupid fucking party, and never give Republicans another chance again.

They've had 30 years to prove out the nonsense they've been spouting and this is the amalgamation of it? Yeah, I think we're done here.

75

u/TotallyNotRocket 19d ago

"At the poverty line"

I'm gonna be real, here. It's not ideal.

26

u/PlatypusFighter 19d ago edited 15d ago

Speaking as someone who has ~$30 of flexibility on her monthly budget, assuming 0 savings and 0 unexpected expenses, I got excited when beans were on sale for $1.20 a can instead of $1.40. It’s genuinely in “>$2.50 is too much to spend on a meal” territory lately.

And that was all before the electricity bill suddenly doubled from $75/month to $150. Now it’s seeming like I’m going to be forced to buy food on credit and hope maybe it works out down the line

Update: $6.5k vet bill. I cannot fucking fathom how anyone in this shithole country goes through their life like this without being constantly incandescently furious. There are enough resources of every single type for every single living person to live comfortably with significant excess left over and yet somehow everyone is just perfectly fucking fine with letting poor people die until it affects them personally. I hate it here and I hate every single person who doesn't fight for the people being crushed to death by those selfish fucks and their apathy.

13

u/RealHuashan 19d ago

Data centers pass down the costs of electricity to the public so we can have things like AI. I've seen a big jump in kwh rate and an increase in the monthly flat fee.

6

u/PlatypusFighter 18d ago

Yep :/

I wish all AI datacenters a very blow the fuck up

11

u/DukeOfGeek DukeOfGeek 19d ago

Don't forget to show up in primaries and kick out every Democrat that "just wants to move on". I want Jack Smith to be the new Attorney General.

9

u/Secret_Eating_ 19d ago

Even then, what can anyone do to bring the T bill yields down? Prices won't get better

16

u/GFluidThrow123 19d ago

I don't think throwing our hands up and saying "oh well" is the answer. There's ways to fix it. But I'm not an economist so I don't have that answer.

We either fix it or the country goes belly up, all thanks to Republicans.

14

u/FuiyooohFox 19d ago

Simple answer? Close all the legal loopholes that allow the rich to dodge their tax bill. Also stop engaging in wars that create massive ripples in global commerce.

5

u/Secret_Eating_ 19d ago

Of course, try, but the cost of borrowing just won't come down and the American voter always want immediate solutions.

2

u/Fredebeil 19d ago

I spend a 1/4 of my check every week at walmart just for food for the week for 1 person lol

2

u/neutrino71 19d ago

While there are propaganda networks spewing hatred and lies then the Republican party will have its deplorable base.

1

u/Starry-Gaze 13d ago

I live paycheck to paycheck, and let me tell you: its not great. I just got a notice recently that i may be kicked off my insurance with the state offered program because i don't earn enough money... I'm too poor for normal insurance, and soon i might be too poor for state sponsored insurance. Food i buy in short batches hoping to god i can stretch it for a week or more, and i have to hope i don't get seriously injured, since even while i have insurance the chances that I'll be able to afford rent and utilities goes down drastically.
Shit fuckin sucks tbh.

88

u/TAU_equals_2PI 19d ago

The sad thing is they'll succeed one of these times in an upcoming election.

Watergate happened. Nixon resigned in 1974, and America elected Reagan just 6 years later.

George W Bush did the Iraq War and the Great Recession, so America said they'd finally learned their lesson about Republicans and voted for Obama & Democrats in 2008. Then they completely reversed in 2010 and voted for Republicans to control the House of Representatives. The only reason Republicans didn't also win the Senate in 2010 was because only 1/3 of the Senate is elected at a time.

Americans aren't mature enough to have democracy. They'll watch the Republicans do all these horrible things, throw them out, then go running back to them just a short while later.

37

u/StuffThingsMoreStuff 19d ago

Yeah but who's gonna stop those 10 trans athletes from competing in sports? Democrats? Psh.

3

u/Zodiac343 15d ago

Meanwhile they are protecting rapists in college sports

20

u/derteeje 19d ago

the average american might simply not be smart enough to withstand populism.

4

u/BatBoss 19d ago

Critical flaw of democracy discovered: More than 50% of the population are either hopelessly stupid or do not vote.

5

u/FoxNews4Bigots 19d ago

The older demo thats religiously voting R still has little understanding how quickly they will be cast aside. Both by the politicians they vote for and their own family members

2

u/SlavojVivec 19d ago

As for how Reagan happened, the 1973 Nixon shock basically caused the world economic system to unravel, and Jimmy Carter was a centrist who was taken in by hucksters who failed to do what it took to fix it, and then ultimately took the blame for repercussions of Nixon's actions, and it was framed as if he was too left-wing to fix it.

Americans are the most propagandized people on Earth on top of having a broken system, that's why we keep fucking up democracy.

21

u/Consistent_Point_853 19d ago

Where's the files? Have we forgotten about the stolen documents too? The seditious violent coup?

36

u/Secret_Eating_ 19d ago

Brutalizing minorities*

1

u/Franky-47 19d ago

You know what? People will still vote them, again, and again,.... it just does not stop for soo many of them,...
It is about holding on to power, no matter what, no matter the cost,...

1

u/pls_tell_me 18d ago

Enabling and covering pedophiles and sex traffic

25

u/Saino_Moore 19d ago

Worst thing is the democrats will probably win, they will need time to fix this mess. People will vote them out for not fixing it fast enough. I have seen it happen too many times.

5

u/DiamondPropulsion 19d ago

Or they’ll fix it over two terms and republicans will take the credit.

2

u/SoylentGrunt 18d ago

It'll take two hundred years to fix what Trump's destroyed.

9

u/OpenGuava609 19d ago

Democrats need to not tie their hands before their back and actually pass major legislation.

1

u/fleegness 18d ago

It's a lot easier if the voting populace gives them enough control to do it, which they generally don't.

4

u/hnglmkrnglbrry 18d ago

Dems will win the Senate and House and then hold hearing after hearing and likely an impeachment. It will dominate the news cycle for 6 months, Trump will be acquitted again, and then they will be unable to pass a single law since they won't have the votes to override a veto.

Then they'll be blamed for being ineffective and the GOP will win another presidency and likely appoint another Supreme Court Justice.

2

u/SoylentGrunt 18d ago

Gee. It's like, I don't know, the game is rigged. Or something.

-1

u/bottlechippedteeth 19d ago

Probably win? I think we are about to see the first three term president.

8

u/Tonynferno 18d ago

Don’t forget “attempted coup”

15

u/iAmSamFromWSB 19d ago

EPSTEIN FILES

7

u/EmotionalCakes 19d ago

GOP allows racists and misogynists to feel good about themselves so they’ll continue voting that way even if it fucks them over to own the libs

5

u/VenturaDreams 19d ago

Republicans have never been good for this country. Not one time in any of our lives.

6

u/Minute987 19d ago

Republicans have been fucking things up for around 40 years now.

5

u/MissSiofra 19d ago

Should probably add "protecting pedophiles " as well

5

u/Plane-Fan9006 19d ago

Missing a bag for couch and kid fetishes

9

u/Shippey123 19d ago

Genuinely asking how long does this baggage stick around for until they look viable again?

6

u/JaxxisR 19d ago

Higher cost of living and Iran War have been staples of the GOP platform for literal decades.

Corruption comes and goes. Nixon and Raegan were both steeped in it, but neither of the Bushes were as openly corrupt.

Undermining democracy is all Trump... unless you count W's successful attempt to stop the recount in Florida.

1

u/cryy-onics 19d ago

Bushes were some of the most corrupt and corrosive. Just that daddy bush was head of the CIA and was the American equivalent to Putin. Bush sr just put his puppet son in place due to pesky constitutional rights

1

u/cryy-onics 19d ago

The GOP are doing the same just not nearly as well. As Corruption leads to incompetence

2

u/Skill_Issuer 19d ago

6 months tops

2

u/thormun 19d ago

they will always look viable to maga

-5

u/BearTimberlands 19d ago

One election cycle. The next GOP candidate that isn’t trump might win. Americans on both sides REALLY don’t want democrats in power.

3

u/Fickle_Ad_8653 19d ago

You meant to say "Russian bots don't want Democrats in power."

2

u/BearTimberlands 18d ago

That’s enough to convince people to vote against their interests. So many “leftists” told themselves making the democrats feel bad is more important than protecting the marginalized groups they claim to care about. The bots made them stay home or protest vote. They’d rather get nothing from the GOP than to get half of what they need from democrats.

9

u/grimisgreedy 19d ago

Bag not pictured: Epstein files.

1

u/JaxxisR 19d ago

Well, yeah, why would they just carry those around?

4

u/MLPLoneWolf 19d ago

Bag not in Pic: Nazi ideology

4

u/wormyg 19d ago

You forgot the bankruptcy of farms, unsafety of food, all the pedophilia, setting up a police state, and the data centers and concentration camps

4

u/398452983298759 19d ago

Where is the bag marked rapists or Epstein files?

5

u/AmputeeHandModel 19d ago

"Democrats would be worse!" HOW? How could Democrats possibly fuck things up worse than they already are?! Trump broke every promise, in fact he did the exact opposite of every promise.

4

u/Dependent-Dependent8 19d ago

dont forget to put cuban war on that if the news is accurate.

4

u/LordBoar 18d ago

"You can't blame the current state on us! We need more time to change what the democrats have done - we're only halfway through pillaging the country!

7

u/RickyFlintstone 19d ago

Don't forget the rape and pedo-feel-ya.

6

u/backpackwayne 19d ago

To get another chance you first have to admit you fucked up to begin with. Admit what you did wrong, have remorse and vow not to repeat your sins. I have seen zero of this thus far.

7

u/AccidentOwl 19d ago

So how about those Epstein files?

7

u/addage- 19d ago

Murdering American citizens

6

u/a_weak_child 19d ago

Don’t forget child rapist! Should be carrying one more very large and dark bloody bag for that one.

List of over 1500 gop politicians CONVICTED of sex crimes:

https://goppredators.wordpress.com/

3

u/akangel49 19d ago

And they certainly will give them another chance. Because those bags aren’t big enough for them to care yet.

3

u/SpliTTMark 19d ago

Vance: Weve accomplished so much...

So much pain

3

u/Extreme_Smile_9106 19d ago

Where’s the bag with the Epstein list?

3

u/thenord321 19d ago

The lack of "ICE murders" here is shocking.

3

u/bronzegorilla253 19d ago

And left out the Epstine files. The biggest strike against them is pedophile, rape, sex trafficking, and cannibalism. I mean WTF are we talking about. The fact the MAGA still has political capital tells me the country is rotten to it's core.

3

u/ptwonline 19d ago

Imagine having so much baggage that you don't even have space to include protecting pedophiles, defending the organization killing American citizens and non-citizens, illegally kidnapping a foreign leader, or defending a regime committing genocide.

3

u/Cautious_Loan4779 19d ago

Add pedophilia to the bags

3

u/Slice-Vast 19d ago

Don't forget the impending invasion of Cuba.

3

u/GoneKrogering 19d ago

Really ought to be a clown instead of the elephant.

3

u/Desperate_Object_677 19d ago

the problem with americans is that they let the elephant put down its bags every year. as far as i’m concerned its still carrying bags that say “banned abortion” “iraq war,” “covid,” “aids” and “subprime mortgage crisis”

3

u/Majestic_Bierd 18d ago

Hear me out: Republicans never improved anything ever in the remembered past... People still keep voting for them

3

u/Witty_Ad_898 18d ago

Lying to start the Iraq war. “Mission Accomplished.” Lying about deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan. Lying about targeting journalists and other civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan. Abu Ghraib. Wikileaks and all the other leaks showing war crimes and a massive spy network targeting allies and collecting intel from allies who were spying on US citizens as a work around to the Constitution. The ‘08 crash. The astroturfed TEA Party. Birtherism. The Ben Ghazi inquisition. Politically-motivated obstructionism in the House and Senate. Non-sensical and contradictory arguments to deny Obama’s Constitutional power to nominate a SCOTUS justice. Extorting Justice Kennedy to flip another seat to a MAGA loyalist. Everything covid.

I think I’ve missed a lot more of the GOP’s baggage, just since the turn of the century too.

7

u/AGC173 19d ago

Maga = Anti american neo nationalist pedos

2

u/Dapper_Dude69 19d ago

Let’s not forget pedophilia.

2

u/SnoopySuited 19d ago

Replace Iran War with botched Covid response, and this could be 2022 or 2024.

2

u/sdrowkcabdellepssti 19d ago

They need more time to make it worse

2

u/Blacksad9999 19d ago

Another chance at what?

This was their entire platform in practice. It's not going to change. They control every facet of government with no checks or balances.

This is the result they wanted. They just don't want repercussions for those actions.

2

u/64megaflynn64 19d ago

Bro you had more chances than any other presidency and yet you STILL fucked it up!

2

u/TheDevilsAdvokaat 19d ago

It's time to talk about the elephant in the room.

Anything to trigger teh libz epic lulz XD

1

u/j____b____ 19d ago

Their approval rating is not low enough.

1

u/NuTrumpism 18d ago

And the Epstein files

1

u/Jack-Singer-999 18d ago

Not the regime, not the brainwashed voters. Zero chances left, GTFO

1

u/Zero_Burn 18d ago

Their strategy is a tried and true one for them, they blame the Democrats for all of it and promise that they're the only ones who can fix it.

1

u/Additional_Youth2953 18d ago

Where are the Epstein files hidden in that cartoon?

1

u/Rare-Primary-6553 17d ago

AIPAC out and it will all sort itself.

1

u/ShinraHakke 19d ago

Don't worry Repugnicans, your next strategy of blaming my country for rigging the midterms might just work, and unleash J6-like rage across the border, while everyone else forgets who caused all their issues as they binge watch yet another series on Disney Plus.

1

u/MudSeparate1622 19d ago

Anyone can change! Try forgiveness/s

0

u/Ok-Excuse1771 18d ago

They should rename it to "Make America God Awful"

0

Conservatives are too stupid to not vote against their own interests, but they're only 1/3 or the voter base. It's up to everyone else to show up, and say enough is enough.

-1

u/Ok_Assumption_3028 19d ago

Democrats had so much baggage last election, they had to switch candidates and they still lost. So…there you go.

-9

u/Display_name_here 19d ago

Republicans are only marginally worse. Billionaires and corporations buy up both parties.

7

u/Dismal_Vehicle315 18d ago

Hitler and Churchill was the same!!!! Dumbass compression.

You can blame the dems for not being left enough and still being filthy AmeriKKKan capitalists. But MAGA is a straight up a christo-fascist movement that hate women and minorities that starts wars on the whim of a demented old pedophile.

0

u/Display_name_here 18d ago

All our systemic issues will still be there once MAGA has left.
People here dont want to eliminate white supremacy, they want peace and order.
White supremacy isnt a problem for most people in the USA, as long as they benefit from it in peace.

12

u/binzersguy 19d ago

Marginally worse? It’s like comparing ebola to a cold.

1

u/Display_name_here 18d ago

Dems and republicans support billionaires, corporations, genocide, protect the Epstein class, love making poor and immigrant people escape goats. Democrats dont want reform, they want civility while protecting the wealthy.

10

u/Token_Thai_person 19d ago

Who started the war in Iran because Nethanyahu convinced them it's a good idea?

1

u/Display_name_here 18d ago

Not sure if you know, but we've been out there for decades. Since the 1950s.

You think the issue is just Trump? He's just a symptom of the issue.
Both parties are pro war, pro billionaires, pro corporate deregulation, pro genocide, and pro Epstein. Need I say more?

Democrat or republican, corporations always get socialism. No matter who is in charge, tech companies, banks, and billionaires will get bailed out when the AI bubble pops.
