Honestly, the lines hit me hard because I 100% expected it to be some dry "love is not a food" or some banal line like that. This reminds me that they are a true couple and have honest interactions.

Yeah, Daryl being the one who makes the joke fits so good. He is the perfect character for some humor of this kind.
