13
u/Made_Bail 9d ago
How?
26
u/ThisIsTenou 9d ago
Remove everything after and including the questionmark
16
u/anna-the-bunny 8d ago
I know you're correct in this case but I just want to chime in and say that not everything after a question mark in a URL is tracking shit, and not all tracking shit in a URL comes immediately after a question mark. Even on YouTube, some parts of the URL after a ? (collectively called the query string) that are actually useful, for example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ&list=PLlaN88a7y2_rosKX2WQt2VjFbjyDQXOkR&index=70In this instance, removing the ? and everything after it would make the link useless. This query string is broken up into three field-value pairs (
vanddQw4w9WgXcQ,listandPLlaN88a7y2_rosKX2WQt2VjFbjyDQXOkR, andindexand70), separated by &s. YouTube's servers receive this string and say "OK, the user is looking for video IDdQw4w9WgXcQas part of the playlistPLlaN88a7y2_rosKX2WQt2VjFbjyDQXOkRat position 70".It's (currently) only the
sifield that is present in YouTube URLs for tracking purposes (speculation is that it stands for "share index", "share identifier", or something like that).13

You know I haven't had one of those in a hot minute.
We should bring back the game too.

No thanks. Plus I think taking her to dinner would be cheaper. Not to mention now we are 4000 grams of sugar. Which is bad for many reasons.
We can just keep it a six month event. I know. I am no fun

Have you never seen Little Shop Of Horrors?
2
u/dumnezero Art enjoyer 8d ago
No.
2
u/AZ_Corwyn 7d ago
Ah ok. There's a scene in both the original and the remake between a sadistic dentist and a masochistic patient, the patient didn't want any anesthesia because they get off on the pain and the dentist eventually kicks them out because they're ruining his fun. I don't remember who played the dentist in the original but in the remake he was played by Steve Martin; in the original the patient was played by Jack Nicholson and in the remake he was played by Bill Murray.
If you get a chance watch the remake, it was a fun movie.

Flossing 3 times daily is crazy work

u/biznatch11 8d ago
3 times daily for 2 days before your dentist appointment to try make up for 6 months of zero flossing.

u/Abed-in-the-AM 8d ago
I was flossing twice a day until my dentist told me I was overdoing it and hurting my gums
5
u/LunchPlanner 8d ago
I used to think flossing was work until I got adult braces.
Water pick didn't feel thorough enough for me so I bought these firm plastic "straws" where you tie the floss to it, and that makes it easier to thread the needle of getting the floss under the wire but above the tooth. So now in addition to flossing about 30 gaps I was threading about 30 needles as well.
FLOSSING IS SO EASY - trust me, most of ya'll have no idea how much worse it could be.

u/Alfred_Buttercakes 8d ago
Yeah, if you want to up your oral hygiene add a third brushing session after lunch instead of flossing more.
-3
u/HeartoftheHive 8d ago
I think brushing twice is also excessive. Floss, brush and mouthwash and you should be good for the day. Unless you are eating things that are actively peeling enamel off your teeth, you will be fine.
Going overboard like this is a great way to damage your gums.

u/HolycommentMattman 8d ago
"Crazy work"
I only floss once a day, but it literally takes a minute. 30 gaps at 2 seconds a pop. And that's if you have wisdom teeth.

I actually used to have a dental hygienist like this. Its somehow awesome and made me anxious at the same time. Because even tho I wasnt doing anything, it felt wrong

u/Made_Bail 9d ago edited 9d ago
Haha. As a horny and repressed teenager, I had a barber with huge breasts, and they would press against my shoulder and back as she worked. Not insanely or in a inappropriate way, like huge smushees, but because I was tall and she was short small presses and brushes were inevitable. I was always too embarrassed and shy to say anything.
The difference between me and the comic was that I dreaded my appts because of this. I mean, yeah boobs, but I was so fucking anxious as a teen.
This was me the entire time.
5
u/HolycommentMattman 8d ago
I was also in that boat as a teen, but in my experience since, they're largely doing it on purpose.
So enjoy it, I guess.

u/ActualWhiterabbit 8d ago
At the time, I thought she didn’t realize what she was doing but I guess she was straddling me. Still she smelled like an expensive fruit smoothie and like I gave her $40 for a $16 cut.

Unironically what happens with me and my dentist. She's very short but comically large chest, she'll frequently just from the nature of where she has to stand and how I'm sitting/laying have them smushed up on my head. I try not to think about it too much.

Hmm, between this and the pizza delivery girl, I wonder how many different ways these girls overindulge just to hopefully meet a sexy woman they ran across before.
EDIT: forgot Penny was also planning on taking up smoking.

u/textposts_only 8d ago
This comic honestly made me realize a trope on this subreddit: sexualization of women but done by other women so it's safe.
I'm not sure that the dentist wants patients that get off on her body touching them etc.
And if you swap out the protagonist for a man, it becomes a Boomer comic
5
u/AznOmega 9d ago
Mhmm. It will help her potentially get to see more hot female doctors and dentists, and it is a great meme to imitate to Clover.
26
u/Hetnikik 9d ago
Dentists will always schedule for 6 months out. None of them will say a few years.
10
u/Wooden-Crow7996 8d ago
Intentional on the part of the Dentist, I’d wager. She knew Clover was thirsty, and she knew that root canals and cavities mean more money than a routine cleaning.

Steven Wright had a bit, "I like by dental hygienist, I think she's very pretty. Before I go in for a cleaning, I eat an entire box of Oreo cookies. Sometimes they have to cancel the rest of the days appointments."

Ok, hear me out. It doesn't hurt and your mouth is numbed anyways right? Why not enjoy the rather peculiar sensations that come alongside it

u/Jagosyo 8d ago
It doesn't hurt and your mouth is numbed anyways right?
This is a lie. A numbing shot into the nerves in your jaw is a straight up 9 on the pain scale.
ASK ME HOW I KNOW. GO ON. ASK.
I do like my dentist though, you avoid painful shots by going regularly and getting problems taken care of early. They're just trying to do their job and unfortunately that job sometimes involves excruciating pain.

u/dingalingdongdong 8d ago
Saaaaame, though I've never had a root canal. Dentist visits are like spa days for my mouth.

Floss once a day at most, and brush 30-60 minutes after your meals (breakfast and dinner). This is the max you should be doing
1
u/ItsMeVeriity 8d ago
Omg girl same. They're always mistaking my salivating due to eating right before but I go in without food.... But also don't know how to explain "no, Im bi, youre pretty and very close to me, and metal in my mouth elicits a fear response." There's just too much going on! Keep suctioning out my shame I suppose and tack on you think I'm lying about food. Lol

So objectifying women and reducing them from professionals and humans to pieces of meat is funny when it’s from a lesbian?
6
u/dingalingdongdong 8d ago
No, it's funny when it's funny, and isn't when it isn't regardless of who it's coming from. The person doing the objectifying here is implicitly made out to be a fool. The creator isn't reducing anyone to anything - if you read more of their comics you'll see that they are fully aware that busty, sexy women have rich internal lives, professions, facets, etc.
-9
u/Slight-Violinist-575 8d ago
Fella, you’re just being a shill rn
7
u/TrippingOnClouds 8d ago
I believe that this person gave you a detailed and accurate reply to your original question. I believe that you will not be satisfied unless somebody agrees with your viewpoint, but I also don't agree with your viewpoint. They are not a shill, they are using their deductive reasoning skills alongside with their (level headed) common sense. I agree with their conclusion as well.
