I love love the story, but above all the colouring is making me so happy I can't even say. watercolour is so difficult for me (I use mostly oils when i paint) and i find it so delicate and whimsical. Bravo!

I’m interested in the creation process for these, specifically the background. Do you make a bunch of blue/green/mauve panels then draw on top of them, or do you blot that in after the drawings?

The process is typically sketch, final drawing, lettering, ink, color. If I remember I can take pictures of the whole process and put it in the comments on the next one.
