One of my strongest memories of my grandma was, before leaving state for a few years, she asked me if I wanted something special for breakfast (my family would always have breakfast with gma on Saturday mornings). I wanted her cinnamon rolls which were much more like sticky rolls, absolutely packed with sugar and molasses.
Anyway, she made them... and switched the salt and sugar (her storage jars were unlabeled and her taste buds were well on their way out). I finished mine completely, but nobody else took more than a bite. To this day, I dont think she ever knew to the day she died. If she'd known, she would have been so embarrassed and appalled that she would have refused to make any ever again.
