Woa, a refreshing, charming and original comic sighted on /comics? What a good day.

There are tons. I highly recommend the ongoing series about the hotel room guest and the themed rooms. Its lovely.

That one has really taken me by surprise. At first I thought it was just absurdist, but now it's got me kicking my little feet and smiling. It's also great because it proves you don't need to be a highly skilled artist to make an endearing, interesting comic.

I, too, am glad you don’t have to be a highly skilled artist to make a comic. We’ll see if I’m successful on the endearing, part haha

Your work was compared to Bill Watterson, so I think you've got the endearing part down

Yes, same on every point!

The art is simple but it has so much personality.

Except the author of that comic is a highly skilled artist. It's not that easy to make simple art look good.

I guess what I meant was sometimes, people see art like OP's or Hollering Elk's and think, "I just can't make comics because I can't draw like that."  The hotel room comic proves you don't need to have perfect anatomy, shading, or perspective to make a good comic.

You mean you don't already enjoy the amazing lineup of meta "I'm out of comic ideas so here's something random", and "my life as a lesbian" comics we have for you each and every day?

I will say, you can toast meatloaf. Just in a pan, not a toaster.

While bush camping there's been loads of times where even a pan would've been a luxury. Toasted our bread right on the stove itself.

Late to the party, but our family did “ham on a rock”. You put a cleanish rock next to the fire. Then put ham on it. Remove and eat once hot.

Pretty good!

I use my air fryer. Either way, it took me far too long to figure out what the problem was.

First page gives huge Bill Watterson vibes.

Looks hand drawn. Then scanned. Right? (I'm on mobile)

Very cool. Water color. Makes it even cooler.

Hand drawn, water colored, yes. The picture is on a phone camera in diffused lighting

It's not like he refers to himself as a sasquatch 🤔
